I recently drew a birthday present for , and he thanked me by offering to draw me whatever I wanted. Since he's such a huge fan of the teenage girls of Seth MacFarlane's animated universe, I asked to see Meg Griffin and Hayley Smith going for a swim together - and boy, did he ever deliver! [link]Naturally, I couldn't resist trying my hand at it too. I draw a lot of Hayley and Meg hanging out together, and when I do, the dynamic between the two girls is always the same; Hayley's the confident, adventurous one, and Meg is her shy and inquisitive protege. So when Hayley jumps in the pool with her clothes on, she pulls an apprehensive Meg right in along with her - and of course, Meg's a little confused at first, but that doesn't last long when Hayley's there to show her a good time.

Finally some art where people make a more accurate interpretation of meg. It's not like she's really REALLY fat. She's just pudgy. Fat is beautiful. But she's pudgy. That's all there is to say on the matter.

I have to say it. Another knock-out picture by the incomparable JB Warner! I hate to sound "shallow" or "make waves", but it blows the others "out of the water". It's "current!" And although these puns show the "depths" I'm willing to sink to write this comment, I would "fathom" that I'm confident in saying that JB is in a "league" all his own.

Hayley's cool, always. Even under water, this girl is wonderful.
Meg I'm always sorry when something happens to it in the series, then I would sometimes jump into the TV for both, and bring them to a better world. In a world where they are accepted and loved.
And as for the picture, I would swim again, just to be with them, so sweet is the picture .......

It's more like I couldn't help it. Though I used to stick with the old four-finger standard for years and years, I've been drawing human characters with five fingers for a while now. It began as part of my effort to refine the art style for Forever 16 and make the characters feel less like cartoons and more like real people. Now it's become second-nature, no matter which human characters I'm drawing.
There are exceptions, though. Like when I draw the Simpsons, for instance - having four fingers is one of the well-known trademarks of their character designs, to the point where they comment on it within the show's universe, and I think anything else would just look weird.

I love how when you do pics from shows like Family Guy or Daria, you always inject them with so much life, compared to their relatively stoic and dull art styles.

I could've sworn you have... Also I looked really quick at the thumbnail of your recent Dilbert picture and it looked like Daria's mother. But the Dilbert cartoon was pretty stiff too, so the principle still applies.

I don't watch either of these series, but your interpretation of them looks pretty accurate! I guess.
One more thing: I love the bubbles coming out of Meg's mouth. For some reason, I find that totally cute. X3
