First of all, I really like this one. The black color at the base gives it stability. Also what I like about it is the fact that the symbol represents the balance of yin and yang or the balance of two forces of good and evil/ light and dark .. and so it seems that the base with darker shades and orange on the upper half of the background gives a feeling of Dawn or Dusk .. which is the moment of partial lightening in the sky .. when light it rising up and darkness is fading away .. natures moment where light and darkness are in balance of each other.
Great job. I never thought that such a simple symbol with two colors in the pallete can be turned into something so beautiful.

Once there was a little girl called Clarissa, she was ten-years-old and she lived in a mental hospital, because she killed her mom and her dad. This is truly well done. Β The black and gold color scheme works very well with the yin yang, adding even more elegance to the simple perfection that the symbol is. Β The contrasting styles of the circles and rectangles is equally engaging to the viewer. Β There is nothing visually overpowering, making this design perfect for a wallpaper on my computer -- I have severe migraines which can make it rather hard to look at patterns of any kind -- one that can stay up, headache or not, and stay stylish at the same time.

Very intense. It presents the sense of peace, but at the same time it's kind of stronger sense of peace than the original black and white. I really am enjoying looking at this piece.

#The dual shades of light (orange) and Darkness (Black) .. makes this piece very unique. Since the two colors also represent Sun and Darkness/night ... and a dividing line in the background that divides the background into two layers of Darkness and Sunrise like effect makes it an impressive piece. The balance of two colors are very well used and thus the symbol of yin and yang balanced together brings a lot more meaning to this artwork. This can be good for background for some street fighting game's wallpaper's background!

I find it amazing that people are constantly finding new meanings for the Gold and Black combo. The sad reality is, I just thought the color goldish yellow would look cool with the black.... Also another sad reality is the backdrop itself was never meant to be ying and yang till the find 30min.Β

I can't explain it, but I like this take more than the classic white and black. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that it's MIZZOU colors and I grew up with it, maybe just the fact that it's different than what I'm used to, but I really find myself liking it.Β

Personally, I find it very interesting to see the yin yang-sign with black and gold, since the black and white actually has a meaning which is somehow slighly changed by your chooses of colour, but still gives the same message...

That's a good choise of colors, better that standart white and black. Maybe only outline of orb and line should have texture too, it looks monolite.

#I love that symbol very much to and the way it is integrated to the composition is itself Feng Shui. The texture you use I find astounding; were you going for a Japanese paper feel. I wish the Yin Yang was not so centered unless you wanted a Japanese flag effect.
