I finally finished a piece which took me sooo long!When I first saw this picture - [link] - I was shocked, because I never thought about Kakashi's words "He became an ANBU capitain at the age of 13" about Itachi. So I've started to think about what it was like for Itachi - to be a 13 years old boy among the best young shinobi of Konoha's ANBU. I mean - 13! The same age as Naruto Sasuke and Sakura when they started teir training with Kakashi!..
Then the idea of this picture came to me. Here's an ANBU squad about 5 years before manga start, celebrating their successfully completed mission . All jounins are younger, Ibiki doesn't have his second scar across the face yet. Itachi is 13, and it's milk in his glass...
I wanted to do something dedicated to my friends here on DA - people that support and encourage me in my fandomness. Here it is. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
UPD: I was told that I messed the ANBU mark - females and males have them on different shoulders. Sorry

This picture is amazing! I absolutely love it! It's nice to see what people imagine happened outside of the manga. Itachi is by FAR the best character in my opinion.

I like how you've put Kakashi and Itachi together in this picture. Kakashi must understand what it's like to be the youngest one in a group of older men, being a chunnin at 6 at all that.
I loved and still love this piece for showing a different side of the ANBU and including all the jounin that I'd suspect being part of it.

Oooh; this is very beautiful! Itachi seems sort of lost. xD Well, I'd be too. But he's sweet~! And Kakashi actually looks pensive. But I really love how thick eyebrows sensei and the other guy with the...little twig in his mouth whose name I always forget. :3

I love this one! The way you used color and put Kakashi and Itachi in the window especially. There's so much this picture shows about Itachi's youth and how he relates to the others.

BTW The rookie 9 all became Ninja at 12, not 13 and Neji's group also became Ninja at 12, not 13.

I like how this one can be interpreted. It's almost as if Itachi looks up to Kakashi, and the Hatake has taken the Uchiha under his wing . . .
In the manga, these two need to run into each other again, I say. Not to fight, but I think they have some things to discuss at the least. The two seem to share the same objective: Kabuto.

I love everything about this picture, including the careful detail in considering his young age (like giving him water rather than sake ^^) and giving everyone a younger, more nostalgia-like appearance
