Testing out architecture with this traditional-themed shrine. I'm trying to contrast the rectilinearity of the building with the sleek curves of the serpent scupture. Also, I've made attempts to make my works more brighter and more colourful since my family constantly comments on how 'dark' my paintings tend to be. And I agree. Darker paintings seem to be easier to do, IMO, but it's time to move away from beginner-like stuff. Oh, it seems like the perfect new year's goal doesn't it? Haha, happy new year!
