Description This scene is one of my absolute favourites in The Adventure Zone
of course, after everything that happened in the Balance arc's finale
I can't wait to see what the Mcelroys will do next with taz :'^) but this was a wonderful adventure and I'm glad I jumped in when I did

also i just realised that having both Taako and Magnus reach up doesn't make sense if they're reaching for each other wHATEVER

as soon as I heard the song start to play in the finale I just lost it. I was sobbing my eyes out, the original Arms Outstretched moment is still one of my faves in the whole show. I saw these on Tumblr and they're gorgeous, the expressions in particular are great! <3

Yes!! Yes yes yes, I totally know what you mean!! I'm glad my boyfriend was out and I was alone when I listened because there was a lot of loud, ugly sobbing during that finale :'D Gosh this scene though, it's so perfect! THE WAY THEY JUST... WORK PERFECTLY TOGETHER TO AVOID THE FATE GRIFFIN PLANNED FOR MAGNUS. These boys are so good
But, thank you so much! I'm happy to hear that! And I'm super happy you spotted these on tumblr too ;u;

It actually floored me to hear that Griffin fully intended/planned for Magnus to go through the portal and had a whole other storyline planned and the boys just went 'nope. fuck this.' and removed the need for like three more episodes of content. I'd had no idea that the objective wasn't actually to stop him going through but to get him out afterwards and I was kind of amazed that the boys' actions could have such a huge impact on the plot like that. I got chills from that scene, and then for the reprise in the finale I just cried my eyes out. Thank god I live alone right now lmao

YEAH SAME! The whole Kravitz thing left kinda untouched which is a shame but honestly?? What those three did was way more amazing just like Griffin said. They're such a good family and they make me cry a lot omfg
Another thing that surprised me was that Griffin was so sure that Magnus would take the Chalice's offer and go back in time :0 I feel like the chalice thing and Magnus dying in wonderland would both have been arcs that involve Julia and we could've seen more of her character. THAT WOULD'VE BEEN NICE BUT... I not seeing her or really meeting her made the finale just so much more powerful somehow omg ;u;

yeah I'm sad we didn't get the cool astral plane sideplot but honestly sacrificing it was worth it just for that moment, holy shit
The Eleventh Hour was 100% gonna have Julia in it and I think Griffin was totally right to plan for Magnus saying yes because I was expecting him to as well, or at least be the most likely to say yes out of the three. Again it's a real shame we were denied all that content that was planned out but it just made Julia's eventual appearance right at the very end so much more impactful and I'm not gonna lie I 100% saw it coming as soon as Griffin asked Travis That Question(TM) and was crying my eyes out way before she even turned up
