An Imperial soldier returns home from war to discover that his wife, a former scullery maid, has been impregnated by none other than Emperor Uriel Septim VII. Devastated but knowing that her life will be ruined if he abandons her, he takes her and the child - named Martin - to a small farm. Moving on is made nigh impossible as he clashes heads with the father, insistent on intruding in on their lives to visit his new little boy. However, the royal family of Septims is having domestic problems of their own. The Emperor struggles with a miserable marriage with his indomitable wife, while his teenage son, Crown Prince Geldal, is faced by the premature meeting with his childhood betrothed, a pure-hearted young princess forced to live with them as a political hostage.

I'm half expecting Uriel to take a moment to calm and center himself from the shock of seeing such insomnia-induced lunacy, and then use his experience that comes with having raised three children to soothe Martin while the sleep-deprived parents look on with their jaws on the floor.

Oh so they both snapped. Sleep deprivation does that to ya. Im hoping that now Uriel gets to actually see all the FUN parts of living with a baby. And that both Gemile and Basil gets some sleep.
