This picture inspired me to do a Kill la Kill/Spider-Man fusion with Ryuko as Spider-Man (Woman) getting her powers from a spider mutated by Ragyo Kiryuin's experiments with a sapient fluid biomass called Life Venom, a spider that she adopts and names Senketsu after the blood it drew when it bit her. Being a delinquent, she starts off using her powers in fight clubs and like with Peter Parker in most modern revisions of the Spider-Man origin, the last time she sees her father alive is when she storms out of the house from an argument they had about Ryuko acting out and not applying herselfΒ in school, which leaves him alone for his killer, whom Ryuko is chasing down, to target.
When she officially becomes Spider-Woman to hunt down and punish her father's murderer, she carves a swath through the criminal underworld, befriending the ever-cheerful and slightly loopy Mako Mankanshoku and her family after saving Mako's dad from being killed by gangsters and gaining the enigmatic butΒ goofy Aikuro Mikisugi, her science teacher, as a mentor. She also gains powerful enemies in the form of Satsuki Kiryuin and her Sinister Six, consisting of Shiro Iori/Doctor Octopus, Ira Gamagoori/Rhino, Houka Inumuta as a fusion of Scorpion and Alistair Smythe when Smythe became the Ultimate Spider-Slayer, Nonon Jakuzure/Shriek (sonic powers, after all), and Uzu Sanageyama/Specialist (a futuristic samurai from Spider-Man 2099 that worked as an assassin for theΒ corporateΒ powers of that period), with Satsuki herself being a fusion of Venom and the Green Goblin along with her mother Ragyo (the powers and style come from Venom, the role in the story comes from the Green Goblin).
