Chris was walking through the Birch dorm, doing his best to create a mental map of it in his head. He only knew how to find his room,
so if there was an emergency, he was pretty much doomed. Plus, he had no clue where the bathrooms were.
So, the Greninja decided to do some exploration...of course, he was doing it the ninja way, doing his best not to be seen.
The only reason he's been successful is because no one was around to see him, of course.
Peri ran out of her room in a rush, creating too much noise in the process.
Her hands were filled to the top with boxes, obviously unbalanced and probably going to fall if she wasnt careful.
And she was never careful. She had been really excited for the up coming winter, and more excited to see the snow.
The piglet had never seen snow before and was trying to do all she could to prepare for that. But her rushed attitude that day didnt help her.
She didnt see her ninja hiding around the corner and it was only a matter of time before something was going to happen.
The water type quickly dashed across the hall to the next shadow, not seeing Peri either.
He almost made it, except his scarf dragged along the ground underfoot, getting in the way of Peri's next stop.
Peris foot, not watching where it was stepping, stood on the scarf.
Chris's movement made pulled the scarf causing her to trip and fall over, dropping the mass of boxes in which contained many neatly wrapped smaller presents.
The fall had caused them to spread across the place and the piglet was left on her bum.
if she was smart, she would have landed on her tail. But instead she sat, rubbing her lower back from the shock.
Chris was pulled down from the sudden resistance his scarf acquired, causing him to fall flat on his face.
"The heck?!" His head phones had jerked forward and off his head, falling to the ground and the batteries falling out.
With a scowl, he stood up and glared at Peri. Or he WOULD have, if he didn't see that she had fallen and hurt herself.
"H-hey...You okay?" He walked over to her and offered his hand.
Peri's ears twitches at the sound of the other. she thought she was alone in the space. "Oh um yeah. im fine." She said with a smile.
"I just hope the presents didnt break in the process." She says with a slightly disappointing tone. She took the hand and got up.
"Im sorry to have stepped n your scarf, my bad. Really didnt mean too. i was in a bit of a rush. Wanna get to the post office before it closes~"
"It...it'sh fine...I hope they didn't break either...here, let me help you." He grabs a few of them and sets them in the box.
Peri smiles at the new comer. He seemed nice. "Thank you." She went to pick up other boxes.
"So you are new around here?" She asked letting one of her ears fall as her head tilted.
He nods, then kneels down and picks up his headphones and the batteries in them. "Three daysh ago. My name is Chrish."
He screwed the batteries back into his headphones.
Peri smiled. She wondered if he would put them back on. She half didnt want him to. it was nice to talk to a new face.
"Nice to meet you Chrish" She said, thinking that the slur was part of his name. "Three day huh? what do you think of the place?"
She goes back to stacking the boxes with her horrible balancing skills.
It was pretty obvious that is she kept stacking them the way she was, they were going to fall down again.
"No, Chris!" His face was bright red, either from embarressment or anger. "And you have to shtack them like this."
He picked up the boxes and began arranging them in a more balanced manner.
"Yeah. If you aren't careful, they'll fall like before." He had stacked them so that they were a bit more stable, and then made two piles.
"I'll carry one of them."
Peri frowns. "Really?? so how am i suppose to stack them then?" She smiled as he did it for her, writing mental notes of how he did it.
"Ah, you dont have to, I think im capable of carrying them myself."
"No, 'f you carry too much, the chancesh 'ill increase that you drop 'em."
He picked one up carefully. "Hold it with both handsh, and from the bottom." He gave her a demonstration.
Peri nodded and mimicked Christ in holding the boxes. she nodded. "I guess so..." She felt a smile creep onto her face at the fact that someone was helping her.
"Thank you for the help~ But its a little bit of a walk from here to the post office. you sure you still want to help me?"
Chris nodded, though it was hard to see behind his scarf. "'m still new 'round here, so I shtill need to learn my way 'round here."
He adjusted his grip a little, though his leather gloves gave him enough traction.
Peri nodded. "I see. its a big place and they have everything here. Im not surprised. I still lost sometimes and ive been here for a while now. Maybe i could show you around after you help me? Like a trade off thing." She flipped her hair around her head.
"I like your scarf by the way. It matches mine~ High five for red scarfs."
She tried to pull an arm out again but decided against it when she felt the weight shift. It wasnt a good idea.
He smiled lightly, though it was hard to see behind his thick scarf. "M' li'l brother made it for me. He's only eight, but look at the thread work."
He had a proud, proud tone in his voice.
Peri couldnt help but to smile at the tone in his voice. "A little brother huh? that must be very nice . He seem very skilled. Much more skilled than I am."
She shuffles the boxes to get a better grip and walks out the building, expecting Christ to follow. "Are you just as skilled as he is?"
"Not at all. I can't hold a needle. But...I can hot wire a car." He kind of fidgets, though his hands aren't visible under the box.
He kicked the door open for her. "But yeah, 'm proud of 'im. He's the besh, kindest li'l Axew you could think of."
Peri grinned. "Same here. Well i cant hot wire a car, but i can carry cook? I think cooking is an important skill."
She smiled and nodded lightly as a thankyou for opening the door.
She held it open for him with her back. "You should be. What i would give to have a sibling~ He sounds really sweet too. Does he often make you things?"
"All the time. The blankets 'n my bed, m' pillow cashes, really half the stuff 'n my room, really. I love 'm so much." His eyes softened visibly.
"I can't imagine not havin' a sibling..."
Peri nods. "I see. That so cool. He's an Axew you say? Thats pretty cool. Maybe your brother can give me lessons" She joked a bit watching his eye. She picked up that he felt dtrongly for his brother.
"i live that life. It isnt that much fun. But I think it'd be better for my family to not have another child"
"yeah. Dad'sh second wife was a Haxorus, and that's where my li'l brother came from." He lost focus for a little bit. "Wait, why can't wouldn't it be a good idea...?"
"So a half brother? Thats cool. A little dragon and a......" she didnt know what pokemon Chris was. She couldnt recognize it.
But she couldnt recognize a lot of pokemon anyway.
She shrugs. "We struggle keeping me alive, adding another child like me would just be asking for trouble."
She said in a joking manner to lighten the subject. "This way" She turned a corner.
"Greninja. I'm a Greninja." He turned the corner. "And that sound awful...how did they afford to send you here?"
Peri chuckled. "It isnt the school or the money that really kills us. Well, partly the money, but its something more personal. And it isnt too bad now."
She hummed. "A Grninja?? Never heard of that before." Her pokemon knowledge was very limited.
Chris shrugged his shoulders to adjust his headphones. "Greninja's a 'kemon from th' Kalos region. Water/Dark type, dex numb'r 658."
Peri nodded and wrote another mental note, turning into a post office.
"I see. Ive never been to the Kalos region. What is it like? I havent met a Greninja before either. But you sure know a lot about yourself which is a good thing"
"Kalos is a nice region. Focus too much on shtyle, but I don't really care about it much. I'm on the eastern coast, so it's really sunny all of the time."
He readjusted his grip gingerly. "So, where's this post office?"
Peri nodded. "It sounds very nice. I hope I can go there one day. Maybe for a holiday or something. i would really like to go a place with lots of sun~ Love sunny places"
She grinned. "It isnt too far from here." She tosses her head up the road" just there. You can see it.
"...this place really DOESH have everything." There was a sort of awe in Chris' voice.
Peri nodded. "Yeah I guess~ So will go post them now?" She smiled. "Thankyou again for helping me"
"It's no trouble 't all. Dorm mates help eachother, right?" He was asking honestly. He had no clue whether or not that was the normal.
Peri smiled. "Yeah they do. Dorm mates help. Wait... so you are in the birch dorm too?? Thats so cool`~ I guess that makes us dorm buddies then~"
"Yeah, I am. 's pretty quiet, ushually." Chris smiled at her a little, though it couldn't be seen, besides the upturn of his eyes.
Peri smiled happily. "We are now officially dorm buddies then~ So I'll be relying on you if I get into trouble again~" She grinned sneakily.
"It is pretty quite though. I normally spend my time outside the school campus. At shops and cafe"
"Dorm buddiesh...?" He rolled that over his tongue. "I like that idea. It's funny. I've made more friends in four days here than i did at home over four yearsh. I like it here."
Demetri was strolling down the sidewalk by the post office, kicking a small rock with his shoe out of boredom.
He plopped down on a bench by the building and took out his phone, just proceeding to go on 4chan.
He didn't feel like making his way all the way back to his dorm yet. Too much effort.
Peri looked around at all the people around the post office. She frowned hoping she could get to the post office with less people. She didnt like lines and her patience level was the size of a peanut.
"Okay..... heres the plan"
She whispered to her newly formed companion. "Im gonna pretend to bum into someone and drop stuff, people will come to herlp and you rush to the front of the queue and post them.
They already have stamps and stuff, so there shouldnt be too much of an issue. Got that Chris?"
before he could reply she made her way to Demetri and 'bumped' into him, knocking a few boxes off the top of her pile.
"Arceus damn it, Peri..." He spoke under his breath, but followed along anyway, quickly rushing ahead.
"If this gets me in trouble, though, it'sh on you." He mumbled that last part. Probably no one heard him.
Ruby stood by the post office waiting for her friend Potato. She fidgeted in place, she was so excited to see him.... It seemed like forever since the last time they had talked.
Demetri nearly dropped his phone, but caught it and glanced at her to the side, then down at the boxes. "...Hold stuff, much?" he asked, quirking his brow.
"I know I'm pretty scary looking, but you don't have to pretend to bump in to talk to me."
People around had started to come over to pick the stuff up, and his gaze flicked to where they came from, seeing Chris. He snickered a bit, sort of piecing it together.
Potato came running down the road, waving his arms to Ruby "Hey!" he shouted as he continued to run towards the postal office.
He stopped infront of her, collapsing against the wall out of exhaustion. "It's... nice... to see you again~" he wheezed as he turned his head towards Ruby and smiled.
Peri chuckled "Im not good at holding stuff, I had to ask my friend to stack them for me. But you do seem nice. Glad I picked you. Though, I would have been happier to have chosen someone without such keen eyes."
She thanked the people who helped pick up her boxes. She winked to Chris in the distance. "I better go post these. Wanna help me keen eyes?"
"Okay, that should be most of 'em..." He looked over to Peri and sighed in relief when he saw that who he had run into wasn't too upset with her, then smirked a little when he saw it was Demetri.
The Water type then rolled his eyes after she winked, but winked back none-the-less.
"Have nothing better to do," he said simply, putting his phone back in his pocket. "So I guess I'll help you, from the kindness of my heart."
Ruby through her arms around him in a friendly hug. "It's been forever...!" She laughed, pulling back from their embrace. "Hmm, sorry i have to send this letter and present to my mom before we can hang out..."
She walked into the store tapping her chin. Her eyes were focused on the people picking up the boxes as she waiting for potato to follow her.
"Ah, okay~" he followed right behind her, looking around at all the people "Well it sure is busy in here." As he looked around, he spotted a random piece of paper and picked it up.
"Jack pot" He whispered under his breath, as he shoved the paper in his pocket.
Walking towards the Post Offfice, Kelly clutched a letter she was carrying tightly in her hands, making sure not to lose it.
She had promised her parents that she would keep in contact with them, and now that she new where the Post Office on campus was, she had no reason not to contact them.
Peri chuckled at Dmetri. He was nice and she appreciated that. "sure its not out of boredom?" She jokes, but nodded her head to show her thanks. She wobbled the boxes carefully. The people didnt stack then as well as chris did.
So she stuggled a bit. She tried hard to make her way there, nevrously smiling at both Chris and Demetri. It wasnt long before she saw Kelly.
She wanted to wave, but thought it would be pathetic to drop her pacles twice in one place... even if the first one was fake. So Peri being peri shouted out. "Hey Kelly!! Long time no see!!"
Chris had to hold a groan down when he saw the perilous state the boxes were in and rushed to help her. "If you want a job done right, you have to do it yourself, I guess." On his way over there, he bumped into Demetri. literally.
spotted Potato shove something into his pocket out of the corner of her eye. She spun around on her heal and stared up at him. "...?" Her eyes danced from his face to his pocket.
"What do you mean jackpot... Is it a lottery ticket?!" Her eyes lit up and she tried shoving her hands into his pockets. "Give it, Give it....!"
"Jeez, everyone must want to bump in to me," he said, grinning crookedly at Chris with a nod. "Fancy meeting you here."
"It's much more then a lottery ticket~" He slowly took the piece of paper out of his pocket, and showed it to her. "It's a shopping list~ You rarely find these things laying around!"
After hearing a familiar voice, she turned her head towards the Spoink calling out to her. Though she was a ways away, she noticed that Peri was carrying a stack of boxes, and there were other students near here.
She wasn't sure whether or not Peri wanted her help, since she already seemed to have it, Kelly decided to go over to Peri anyway, though it was mostly to ask what was even in the boxes.
Peri's ears twiched seeing that Demetri and Chris knew each other. "You guys friends?" she tilted her head pass the boxes. "That saves introductions then." Not remembering the fact that she didnt know who Demetri was.
Then again, she didnt know who anyone here was, so it didnt really matter to her. She was thankful that people were nice enough to help.
Even though they werent really help, except for Chris. She smiles at the oncoming green headed girl. "I said Hi~ how are you going?"
"He was my gentlemanly escort yesterday." Chris refered to his nickname for Demetri from the day before. "Remember, you owe me dinner."
He smiled in a smug fashion, and finally remembered to put his headphones around his ears.
They weren't on, but they made him look cooler.
"O-Oh...Yeah, interesting..." She slowing turned around. "Hmm, do you think she needs help...?" Ruby shoved her letter and package into potato's chest to hold, then started to walk towards Peri.
There seemed to be enough people helping her, but she felt guilty not doing anything... "Hey," She called to the spoink girl. "Do you need me to help or anything??"
"Yeah yeah," he said, rubbing the back of his head while snickering. "Like I forgot." Then he looked around at the the people who had suddenly gathered around, not recognizing any of them.
Potato suddenly had all of Rubys stuff shoved into his hands. He looked at her sort of confused "Heh what?" He followed ruby as she walked over.
Suddenly being in the middle of a crowd of people she did not know made Kelly feel a bit intimidated, though she figured this feeling was only temporary.
She wasn't exactly sure /who/ out of the crowd to talk to, however, as seemingly everyone had someone that they were buddied up with.
Chris rolled his eyes at Demetri's claim. "Right. You'd probably try and weashle out of it..."
He realized how many people were around them and began to fidget a little bit, turning up his headphones to block out some of the noise.
"H-Hey...Um..." she paused, looking back at potato. She'd never really been ignored before, and she had no idea how to deal with it.
"Hey, are you guys new...? I'm Ruby and this is Potato...!" She smiled, and poked potato, waiting for them to introduce theirselves.
"Weasel out of a chance to eat food? Nah." He leaned against the nearest wall and began scrolling through the wonders of 4chan again, then noticed Chris fidget.
He then looked to Potato, Ruby, and Kelly. "I'm Demetri... You all go to PGA, right?"
He was staring off into space and suddenly felt a poke to his side. He looked to ruby and then to the people in front of them "Ohhey"
Turning to the Seviper, she nodded. "My name is Kelly." She smiled a little.
Chris sighed. "Of course they go here, this is the campush post office." He rolled his eyes, then checked to make sure his scarf wasn't getting stepped on.
He doubted he could get his brother to make a new one.
"So... What'cha doin on that phone you got there...?" She leaned in trying to see what he was looking at.
It must be important if he's not looking at //her// //sarcastic sparkles. "...??"
"So mean..." he replied back to Chris sarcastically, putting on a pout before trying to keep the situation from getting too awkward with all the people, and his crimson eyes landed on the one looking at his phone.
"Y'know, some classy, intellectual stuff 4chan has to offer."
Ruby: stared blankly at him. "...Four...Chan...?... So, you're texting your girlfriend??... That sounds like a girl's name... Unless you play for the other team... Tell her i say hi!." She gave him a dumb smile.
//doesnt know what 4chan is. She looked back at potato. "He's probably here to send her a present too, what a great boyfriend..."
She laughed then looked back at Demetri. "What did you get her?"
Come to think of it, I have no idea what he's talking about either. She thought. Oh well.
Attempting to think on the spot, she quickly tried to think of a conversation topic. "So...what brings you all to the post office?" She smiled sheepishly.
"I wash here helping a friend, but she left. I'm Chrish, by the way." He was kind of shaking, but it was hard to tell because his hands were in his pockets.
"Wha..." He raised his eyebrow and tilted his head a bit. "Girlfriend? Other team?" He covered his mouth to stifle a small laugh, then rubbed the back of his neck. "Psh, that'sss it... I got her a..."
He thought because psssh, what do girls even like? He shrugged and decided to just go ahead and reply to Kelly. "Just wasting time, you know?"
He elbowed Chris softly and looked over at him. "You hungry?"
Ruby giggled. "Aww, thats so sweet... i wonder what it is..."
"It's nice to meet you, Chris." Kelly smiled politely. "Oh, I see." She replied to the Seviper. Turning back to the Greninja, she noticed that he was nervous, so she wanted to help him feel calm. "I like your scarf." She said.
Chris looked up at her. "Thanks. M' li'l brother made it. um..." Normally when he talked about his brother, he would go on and on about how proud he was.
However, he didn't this time. He just kind of pulled into himself, until Demetri talked to him.
"Uh, yeah. Food shounds really good right now." The Greninja could have easily made a sarcastic remark, but refrained from doing so.
"Of course," he replied with a smirk, not willing to be beat at his own game, and nodded to Kelly. "Go ahead, its all good."
Nodding, she quickly went off to mail her letter.
Chris smirked, starting to fall back into his usual rythm. "Just remember, I have to be home by ten, and no touching anything."
"Right..." he said, actually flustered slightly. He rubbed his forehead, snickering, and looked over to Kelly as she mailed the letter. "Darn...~"
After she mailed the letter, she made her way back to the other two and smiled. "Are you both ready to leave?"
Chris popped an eyebrow at the lack of response. "Did I just beat you at your own game?"
"Ha, that's not possible," he said smoothly, recovering quickly. He nodded to Kelly. "Yeah. Let's go." He made for the door, hands in pockets.
"Alright." She politely smiled.
Chris followed behind them, silent except for the clicking of his shoelaces on the ground.
"So what do you guys want to eat?" He asked after they walked for a while, out of the post office and down the sidewalk towards the student parking lot.
Kelly: She thought for a moment, then shrugged. "I'm not too picky with food, so you two can choose."
Chris shrugged. "I think pizza or something fast would be nice..."
"Yeah, sounds fine with me. I know somewhere good." He fished around in his pants pockets for his car keys as they neared his yellow and black camaro, drawing them out.
"Alright, that's good." She said, patiently waiting for Demetri to find his keys. While he did so, she took a moment to study his car, finding it interesting that it's coloration partially matched his.
Chris rolled his eyes at the coloring. "Figures. Why does everyone have all of their stuff based on what pokemon they are?"
Demetri grinned toothily at Chris's comment. "Yeah, people get their stuff based off how they look. Why else do you think my car is so sexy?" He unlocked the doors and opened his. "Shall I be a gentleman again and open you guys' doors?"
I wouldn't necessarily use that wording. She thought. "You can, if you want." She smiled.
Chris rolled his eyes. "I'll give you attractive, but sexy? That'sh really pushing it." He snickered a little bit, which was an odd sound to hear. "And I'd be absolutely honored to have you open my door for me."
He rolled his eyes ad snickered lowly, going around to open the one Kelly was nearest to, and then doing he same with Chris's. He walked back to the drivers side and plopped down inside. "Get in or I'm drivin' off without you~"
A partially confused glance appeared on Kelly's face in response to Demetri's statement. Shrugging it off, she got into the car and sat down, buckling her seat belt.
He quickly slid into his seat, making sure that he was buckled in. "You wouldn't leave me behind. Then you'd be out of at leasht twenty bucks and you'd still owe me a dinner."
"Eh? I was gonna pay for us all..." He turned the car on, and the radio turned on, blasting loudly out of nowhere, and he turned it down and sped out of the parking lot.
Kelly both jumped and flinched the moment the radio started blaring. She breathed quickly for a moment, trying to calm herself, but before she could even begin to catch her breath, Demetri's less-than-Speed-Limit-friendly driving made that impossible.
"Is it bad that I saw this coming but got in anyway?" He spoke in a deadpan tone, having grabbed onto the hand rail at the top of the car.
"Nope," he said with a grin. "Oh, wait a minute." He turned on his headlights. "Safety first!" =3= He made it on to the main road, making sure to just go about 20 over the speed limit since he had guests in the car. How considerate.
Kelly flattened herself into the corner of the car in panic. She'd never been in a car with a driver quite like Demetri before.
Chris looked over at Kelly and gave her a sympathetic look. "It's your fault for getting in the car. But it'sh worth it for free food."
"Chris, you're so mean. Why can't you me a gentleman like me?~" He slowed down a little. At least he wasn't driving crazily.
Kelly quickly nodded. "He's got a point, really. I do honestly appreciate the free lunch, but...I suppose I'm just a bit...slower paced than most people." She smiled sheepishly.
"Because you're the one who volunteered for the job. And what kind of pokemon would I be if I took that away?" Chris countered Demetri's comment.
Demetri puffed up one of his cheeks in a fake pout. "An even meaner one... And that can be fixed, Kelly," he said, fangs glinting as he teased.
"I-If you say so." She replied.
Chris was ready with a retort almost instantly. "Hmm, perhaps you have a point. after all, you're being so nice, taking me to a restaurant and all. If I didn't know any better, I'd shay this was an attempt to charm me."
"E-eh?" He blinked a bit, having one of those rare moments where he was flustered for the second time. "You wish~" He pulled off the highway and they were in the nearby, medium-sized city with a few flashing restarant signs on the sides.
"I-" Chris was about to retort, but instead cut himself off and began looking at the city around him. He had ignored it on the drive over, so it was a new sight for him.
Kelly took note of the two Pokémon's interaction with each other. It made her wonder how long they had known each other. She would wait to ask, however, as she didn't want to interrupt their conversation. Glancing out her window, she noticed they were in a city. I've never been here before. She thought. After that, Kelly ended up doing what she always did in car rides: Stare out the window taking note of anything and everything she saw. The new sights were interesting to her, so she wanted to notice every single detail that she could.
Demetri spared a glance to the back and beside him to see the two. from the looks in their eyes, they'd never been there before. "I go here all the time when I've got nothin' better to do, so I know all the good places. Looks pretty cool, right?"
She nodded. "Then again, new sights are always interesting to me."
Chris nodded, agreeing with her. "My town in Kalos wasn' half as big as this 'n...Granted, this place seems really different from home 'lready..."
"There's quiet places too, if you're more in to those kinds of dates," he said, trying to get him back from before. He pulled in to one of the lots, in front of a small, rather run-down building, but it looked pretty packed despite that.
Glancing out the window again, she couldn't help but notice how many people were the building that, from the outside, you would never guess would be so crowded. "I suppose your opinion is shared with most of the town's folk?" She unbuckled her seat belt.
Chris held back a groan as he saw so many people. "I can't get a break today, can I."
"Yeah," he said to Kelly with a nod, getting out from his seat, having not been wearing a seat belt the whole time, and going to open both of their doors. Obviously from the kindness of his heart. "Don't worry, the people who own it like me 'cuz I always spend a lot of money, so we'll get sit down fast."
Kelly smiled politely as Demetri opened the door for her, and after he did, she got out. I suppose that's good business if you treat a customer well which in turn then makes said customer recommend your restaurant. "Alright, that's good."
"You know, so far the only thing you haven't done today is sweep me off my feet and make out with me." Chris remarked dully. "And that is not an offer. Remember, no touching. No matter how tempting my butt may be."
His tail twitched. Had he caught him staring at that earlier? Arceus damn it, he thought he was sneaky. orz He stood there looking dumb for a second, shook it off, and strolled to the door like nothing happened, talking about Team Fortress 2 or something.
Kelly became flustered hearing Chris' comment. She knew they were friends but, were they /that/ close? Then again, maybe she's a bit oblivious to just notice specifics of their relationship this moment.
Chris took the transition into TF2 rather well. "And I'm telling you that the Shpy is the best class to play as. No contest." He crossed his arms, as if closing himself off to any further argument.
"Are you kiddin?? Demomen or Scouts." He opened the front door and stepped in, nodding to the hostess who seemed to recognize him. There was a line waiting and he leaned in and whispered something to her, to which she giggled and pointed to a booth in the back while taking some money that he slid across the front desk.
Kelly, admittedly, wasn't at all interested in what Demetri and Chris were talking about, due to not being an avid gamer (to the point of not really even playing many video games in her life). Instead, she took note of Demetri's actions, though she wasn't going to comment on it, atleast not outloud. She then thought to just a moment ago to a comment Demetri made. Spending a lot of money, eh? She thought.
Chris vanished into the shadows, then reappeared at the booth, effectively bypassing the large line of people. Despite his face being hidden behind his scarf, you could just TELL he had a smug expression.
Demetri looked around, seeing Kelly and nodding. "Let's go sit.... Where did...?" Demetri looked around before his eyes landed on Chris already at the booth. "Ha. Thought he stood us up for a second." He started towards the booth, looking over his shoulder to wait for her to follow.
She was impressed, to say the least, at Chris' ability to just seemingly appear all the way in the back of the restaurant. He couldn't possibly know Teleport. She thought, though she smiled. But I can. She then used teleport to sit in a sit opposite Chris, then smiled at him. "Two can play at that game."
"For your information, that wasn't teleportation. That was raw speed. I am a ninja, after all." His smug smile never left. "I just used Camouflage to help me blend in better."
He got confused again, but instantly looked to the booth and saw them. "You guys are show offs." =3= He couldn't be sneaky to save his life. If he tried, the dangerously sharp blade of his tail that he fussed about would clang against something. He plopped down next to Kelly. Because Chris has cooties.
"Hm...I see. Well, I'm honestly not all that fast, so I suppose that means you win." She chuckled a bit. Glancing over at Demetri, she replied with: "It's all in good fun." She couldn't help but ponder Demetri's seating choice, however. She had assumed he would sit next to Chris. She didn't mind that the Seviper was next to her, however. She just found it rather intriguing.
"Hey, you have the bladed tail. All I have is a bunch of water shuriken and ridiculous shpeed. In terms of raw combat, you win because you can cut stuff in half." He commented with a dry tone. "Of course, you look nowhere as cool as I do when I do it."
"Hey, who said I wasn't fast? Are you challenging me to a battle?" he asked, eyes glinting mischievously and playfully. His tail swayed in the air proudly. Alright, maybe he wasn't as fast as a greninja. But he was witty. "Too bad, I don't like getting my tail all dirty~" The waitress came and asked what the wanted to drink.
"If it makes you feel any better, Chris, all I can do offensive-wise is Psychic, which doesn't affect you, so..." She shrugged. As the waitress walked over to the three and requested what they wanted to drink, Kelly replied "Water with lemon, please." She smiled politely.
-Reoite walked in, covered in white from a quick snow shower. He wrestled his scarf off of himself before sitting down in the waiting area- "Guess it's that time of the year again.." -He looked around the restaurant, trying to figure out where the waiter to sit him at a table was-
