Edit: A DD. Wow. Thanks~It's so BRIGHT. x_x;
I figured, wth, and decided to use some colours that I'd normally never use in a picture. However, I did not expect to use hot pink and lime green. oo; But hey, it looks good, and it's kind bright and obnoxious so go me. :3
Uh... so yeah. This character is currently nameless. XD; I'm good. But whatever. Ill come up with a name for him eventually. Just... not at the moment. XD;

The feather-behind-the-ear thing is really cool. I did that with one of my characters, Ralupus, 'cept it was 2 feathers...
I love how his eyes are that same shocking superbright lime green.

I think straying from your prefered color choices was a bold and rewarding thing for you to do. I may have not given it a second look if it was dull or lifeless. Your color choices and the lineart accent each other in only the way a true artist can make them.

The bright green and pink work beautifully and both compliment his eyes nicely. The form is wonderful and I really like the technique you used to color this. The lips and eyes are my favorite... *gazes and sighs*

Very nice! The colors are nice and bright and very eye-catching! Though, I have to ask do you ink your drawing with a pen and then color them, or do you do it in photoshop? I've been using the pen tool in photoshop, and I just can't get nice, sleek lines like that, so I was curious. ^^

Pencil, then used alpha channels in PS to make a selection of the lineart once I scan it and filled it with black on another layer. Then coloured the lines once I had my base colours down.

Hi. I know I'm just one of a billion people who has seen/faved/commented on this piece, but I feel I need to expound on why I'm really happy to see this.
First of all, I'm always pleased to see the anime/manga style being given a Daily Deviation when the artist has as much skill as you have. This isn't a blotch of color randomly placed on a canvas, this is not easy at ALL, speaking as one who has been practicins the genre. To get the proportions line up, the eyes even, etc.
Secondly, Oh man, the coloring is just so appealing! To the bright shades (that, forgive me, remind me of my youth in the early 80s) to the skill with which you used to apply those shodes. And the eyes are perfect and shiny!
And there's the enevitable third part. The part that makes me look at his cute fluffy ears and just get so happy! >_< He really is a darling, and as much as I try to be professional sounding, it really comes down to your skill at drawing something my heart can get close to!

Yea, I have to admit this is a very good work, I like it. But I think its way to simple, your average anime fan can handle something like this.

The colors and the clearness off this caught my eye right away. I could tell that it was very cleanly colored from just looking at the thumbnail. Most of the anime pieces that Ive seen with DDs have had a lot of detailβ¦.Iβm glad to see that change for this one
