No critiques from me I'm afraid! This is absolutely flaweless. Love the soft, dark but beautifully ambient setting. I can almost feel the biting cold and the softness of that fur. What a gorgeous and wondrous scene

I love this piece, especially the colors and movement! You created such an awesome mood, I would expect to see this in a book of fairy tales or something I think you captured the perfect amount of detail on the snow bus (love the title!!!) and environment, but I think as someone else mentioned I'd like to see more detail on the faces of the owls.

I like how you painted the fur, it looks so warm and fluffy! I like the dark lighting too. It sets the cold, chilly mood nicely.

I'm not confident enough to give a full critique, but I'll point out a few things (all subjective, of course!)

- I love the softness and "messiness" of the painting (it matches the feeling of the soft snow falling and the brushtrokes convey the movement of the snow and the wildness of the yak's- is it a yak?- coat), and the fact that you've framed the yak's face by having one of the owls on one side and the softening things beyond it (like its hindquarters and tail) on the other side, as well as the two dark trees on either side and the sloping ground opposite the owl on the left. It might've even been worth to really milk that focus and put more highlights near its face (not really dramatic ones; just a tiiiiiny bit more to make it pop).
- I also love how the whole painting is uniformly moving towards the bottom left corner; with the sloped ground, yak, and even majority of tree branches sloped along with the snow.
- I feel like, compared to the yak and its fur, the owls are quite undefined. I would've liked to see at least their faces clearly, because I feel like they're accompanying the yak (as oppose to the trees, which are just there) and so deserve a bit of distinction for that. If they're more like spirits that can't be seen clearly, then I would've liked to see their edges even more blurred and indistinct.
- I love the pallet with the reddish brown and dark blue you've got going.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head; I hope it's useful :'D

It's just some yak/fluffy bovid that's walkin' around keeping the animals in check, sorta like he's their parent and everyone respects him (it's pretty big, could've conveyed scale better tbh)
YES thank you! I see what you mean with what you're saying, thank you for bothering to write what you think!

It's true; I didn't actually think of it being that big (although now that I look at the owls I can see they're a bit small haha).

All good! <3
