Description

Drawn after several people asked my to draw more dinosaurs and a conversation with

Archaeopteryx girl... obviously a fire mage. I really like this character design, too good for being just a one time use character so you may be seeing more of her.

I know archaeopteryx probably weren't as brightly colored or had such extravagent tails. Maybe she's part phoenix. I dunno.

Actually by analyzing fossils, we now know that its colors were white and black.

Hmm...is Archaeopteryx still a dinosaur or rather a bird? That's a question...

Archaeopteryx aren't really known for wearing clothes or casting fire spells either, so I don't think you have to worry too much about accuracy.

Now that is the very best archaeopteryx-morph design I have ever seen, Ulario, and I've seen a few (besides of course the iconic Reptilonian 'teryx)

You took the idea and made it yours. As for brightly colored or having extravagant tails, well, they DID have pretty long, feathered-layered tails, and nobody knows how brightly colored they were. I'd say, on top of being an awesome design, it's more then canon enough to be recognizably 'teryx.

Fantastic job. You just made my whole week.

No problem.

I'd like to get around to doing a character sheet of her sometime.

... but still... a part phoenix 'teryx... hmmm....

Considering that one of my strongest influences when building my original 'teryxmorphs was Vicky Wyman's Phelia character, the two just naturally go together for me to begin with.

And a phoenix-teryx would certainly be unique. Just hope she's the friendly type -- heaven knows, IC, Arch would probably give one of his primary wingfeathers to meet her.
