This is really lovely and vibrant! The gem/magic in her palm makes me think of a people from "The Mirage Makers" books, also about a magical people in the desert! Although not as pointy-eared and feral-looking

Absolutely stunning design, I love the magic part of her palm. Great use of patterns too, they add to it without tearing your eyes away from her face; something I'm guessing that can be easy to get wrong!

Also- her hands and feet are incredible- especially in the second image. Sheesh...you win at lady-appendages.
Beautiful angles and design moments all over this thing. I also really like how the magic in her palm feels inset and specifc- that's rad.
The only thing I'd suggest is that the large expanse of grey in her skirt kinda kills the color comp. I'd go with something rich and warm? (personal color taste, feel free to ignore)

Your critiques are always more than welcome, and very insightful. Looking at it again after reading your comment, I think the gray definitely clashes a little. It's not tied into the rest of the design, and in any case, I'm always happy for a good excuse to toy around with color!

She's meant to represent a race I'm designing for a hypothetical game, and gamers like to have variations to choose from. So, their skin varies from a medium toned reddish clay color to dark brown. Their skin color is adapted to help them blend with their environment, more than anything...but it is still fairly dark to protect them from the harsh light of the desert sun (at least it's meant to be, I've been having trouble with my screens color and contrast settings).

I see, it was a minor thing and now that I look at it again it's not that light so maybe my monitor is playing games with my mind. Hate to be repetitive, but it's great! Looking forward to more designs for your game [=

These are great! Really nice lines and lovely colours... only thing that bothers me is if they live in the desert, wouldn't they have darker skin? Amazing work
