Dustfall is a proud, confident young Windclan warrior who understands his place in his clan; he is obedient and respectful towards his higher ups and will follow them devotedly. He has never doubted their choices and strives to be as wise and collected as they are. His mannerism is that of a gentle-tom; he rarely interrupts and only gives his opinion in the politest of terms because he doesn't want to start unnecessary fights among his clanmates. His loyalty doesn't end at just his valued leaders; Dustfall respects and values all of his clanmates and will defend them to the best of his abilities. Although he doesn't believe that fighting is a solution, he will leap into battle with claws out to defend his clan (mates). Once his friendship is gained, Dustfall will remain a loyal companion who will give his honest, straightforward opinion if asked.

In terms of temperament, Dustfall is mellow and calm; he has a soft heart that makes him vulnerable to manipulation and corruption. This is perhaps, his greatest flaw. The Windclanner is a little too openhearted and can easily be hurt by those around him. Although he may seem passive and content, there are little things that he tends to dwell upon. Those things can expand rapidly as he has the habit of overthinking/analyzing everything that he has said or has been said to him. It might take him some time to get over certain things, but he doesn't hold grudges against anyone other than himself.

summary :
Dustfall was abandoned (by accident) as a kitten in the outskirts of Windclan territory and it's been speculated whether or not he was the kitten of a loner or a queen of a rival clan. Either way, the patrol that stumbled upon him took him back to their camp to see if a nursing queen was willing to take him under her wing. The kitten was adopted by a dark, slender she-cat named Duskthorn and was given the name "Dustkit" after his pale, sandy pelt. Dustkit was raised among four other rowdy, energetic kittens whom he adored.

At the age of six moons, Dustkit was renamed Dustpaw underneath the watchful eye of Maggotpelt. Although his mentor's name was after a rather despicable creature, the old tomcat was gentle and wise. Maggotpelt and Dustpaw grew close as the apprentice grew older, forming a mutual understanding of each other's morals and beliefs. Maggotpelt was the one who acted as a father-figure to the young apprentice and guided his beliefs and collected temperament. Thanks to his mentor, Dustpaw became a strong believer in fate and Starclan, believing that the deceased would guide the paws of young felines, and even those who had fallen into corruption, back to the light and stars.
Maggotpelt influenced Dustpaw in his fighting style; Dustpaw has a very distinct style that is meant for defense and redirecting attacks. He uses his hefty weight to block attacks (and can sustain a decent amount of damage before tiring) and will actively dodge or place himself in his environment where he can use the opponents attacks against them. He never really believed in fighting--even as a kitten, he wouldn't partake in his adopted sibling's rough play--and Maggotpelt understood this and taught him more defensive maneuvers. Dustpaw graduated from apprenticeship to full-fledged Windclan warrior and took on the name of Dustfall.
