This is the character select portrait of Sagat for the upcoming Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix game coming out on XBox Live and the Playstation network.

For some reason, I compare Sagat with Sigma from the Mega Man X series. They both look similar in appearance (they're both bald, duh). Unlike Sagat, Sigma has no eye patch, but he does have scars on each eye.

I just love Alvin Lee's style. Joe vriens actually got me more interested in sagat, I filled a couple of pages of my sketchbook with him

everyone looks the same man, almost the same mouth, same nose, same shadows, whats is up with that?

Granted, its a "style" but I totally agree. I was actually saying the same thing when the Deviation notice showed Sagat and T Hawk beside each other. "Damn, they look pretty much like the same picture" down to the creases on the nose and even little lines around the mouth. If nothing else, maybe a different angle would have helped make the two images quite different.

Sorry guys, I really stink. Sometimes it's difficult to break molds that you fall into. It's like a bad habit you are trying to quit. This was a really long time ago (over a year now) I think if i were to do it again now it would be a lot different.

You hardly stink. Other than them being similar they look fine independently. I do the same thing at times with art and then after I finish something I think "Wow... that looks like that other drawing I did." whether its a pose or the color scheme. And in music after composing something "new" sometimes I realize its basically the other song I did but down 2 steps.

I don't like it that much, the guy looks way too pumped up to me (dbz?), where the hell is the neck? Just my opinion.

So far, i liked everyone i saw.
But Sagat's my favourite character, and though the pic is fantastic, he gives the appeareance of being fat rather than giant...
It's just a critic; if you guys read this, i hope this, as a different opinion, helps out on your work, which by the way is fabulous.
