Thank you, it's a reload from the times of my beginning with this DA. Sadly I become a cyber junkie as a by-effect  or maybe

I love how the station seems so empty. Lovely composition too.

Thank you, I was on holiday so I travelled not during rush hours, so it was relatively quiet.

It was original a color picture, put some edition work on it to get the good effect.

Indeed its is a great piece of editing work resulting in a fine image!

I really need to learn Photoshop!

I work 90% with ACDsee Ultimate 9 and the rest with coral Paint Shop pro X9. Both are much easier to handle and since I edit photos I used these programs or their predecessors and I never miss something.

I'm not familiar with these products, I bought Photoshop intending to learn how to use it but as with a lot of plans!!

So basic cropping straightening ( I've never taken a straight picture yet! )

Straighten a building is mostly not really satisfying. You had also to change high and wide of the picture. It has the best effect if you have a clock or a round window to get the right proportion. But even than if not always good. Generally you can edit a bad picture for hours in never will be good. Could be happy to get reasonable results

Indeed, there's no substitute for a good exposure to start with! .  I found a "Correct camera distortion " facility in Photoshop to overcome the building falling backwards effect I seem to suffer!

Don't use this, it's only for lens correction. Under the button align you will find the option perspective correction, both in Coral and in ACDsee, try this. Maybe there is although one in Photoshop.

UdoChristmann In reply to Markotxe [2016-03-11 19:34:52 +0000 UTC]

Waiting for the train to Paris. Had a hotel room in Melun. It lay very central to visit Paris, Fontainbleau and some other sides around.

A colleague from my job told me to go there because he liked the town, so I did, and found it something between nice and interesting.
