Description
This is a character design page that I was making for a fanfiction I'm thinking of writing. It's called, "Absolute Boyfriend: Guardian Angel". It doesn't really involve the original love triangle, RiikoXNightXSoushi, but it's in the same setting. They occasionally interact and there are occassional cross-overs but that's about it.

The girl, yes that's a girl, on the bottom is the protagonist. The two guys on top are the obstacles she must overcome, LOVE. So, as a homage to Yuu Watase's signature style, there is a love triangle between the three, YuukaXTakuyaXRyuuki.

Here's a little run down of the connections:

Ryuuki and Yuuka both known each other ever since the orphanage, where they both grew up together. Since they're both of legal age, they move out of the orphanage and rent an apartment, where they live together. Yuuka has always loved Ryuuki, but he always mistakens it for a sibling-type love. Ryuuki has a beautiful, though rather bitchy girlfriend. Yuuka, always been called "ugly" by many people around her and having pretty low self esteem herself, accepts the realities of life and backs away.

Takuya's and Yuuka's relationship starts out pretty awkward. She literally saved him from getting hit by a speeding car, being the one who got the full blow instead. Worried, he carries her to the hospital. After she recovers and goes back to school, she finds him in her class as a new student. She continues to be ridiculed by her classmates, who kept asking her why didn't have just died to rid the world of her hideousness.

Being used to be insulted and ignored by now, it became very awkward to find that this new handsome guy defending her. Finding this a little bit uncomfortable, she tries to avoid him, but he persists in getting to know her. He even developes some nicknames for her, "Saviour" and "Guardian Angel". After a while, she starts to get along with him more. Eventually, she began to develop feelings for him.

Ryuuki's bitchy girlfriend dumps him immediately after he proposed to her, leaving him in a semi-state of depression. So one day, he comes home rather drunk and destraught, as he was about to seduce Yuuka into sleeping with him. She briefly stopped him in time before he can doing anything. After his many days of being sober and getting over his ex, he notices the growing feelings of unease whenever Takuya was around Yuuka.

Originally, he approved of their relationship and supported it all the way, but as they become closer, his eyes become green with jealousy. Rather confused, he began to avoid Yuuka as much as possible, while mentally trying to sort out the feelings he has towards her. After his short session of mental rehab, Ryuuki began to approach Yuuka in a normal/casual fashion, trying to be himself again around her yet at the same time pursuing her.

Eventually, Takuya finds out about Ryuuki's feelings towards Yuuka and becomes very uneasy. He knew about Yuuka' old attraction towards Ryuuki, and feared that she would resume her romance with Ryuuki instead of him. At the same time, Ryuuki feels that way towards the newcomer Takuya, finding him as a threat. After confronting each other face-to-face, the two become love rivals...

I know it's very stereotyical, but hey! I haven't even tried doing SHOUJO manga's, so I guess I'm off to an okay start.

I've also tried to incorperated Watase-sensei's style into the design. ((Sorry if it looks bad...))
