it's about uhh Artemis Fowl?
well on the first book, he's an 11 year old kid whose intelligence rivals that of Mozart. and he's a genius simply put. He believes in the existence of fairies. Oh and did I mention he's a criminal mastermind too?

The Fowl family is an Irish Filthy rich clan! D: Each member has their own bodyguard. Bodyguards provided by the Butler family. The male Butlers all study under Madame Ko, the bodyguard trainer. XD and they're forbidden to say their first names.

Artemis's father is missing since he went on a deal with the russian mafiya. @_@ So he thought he'd steal gold from fairies. His Bodyguard, Butler (see? everybody guard is called Butler XD), wanted to tell Artemis that fairies didn't exist, but since artemis is his principal, and he was a genius, he decided to believe him. And artemis was right.

He kidnapped a fairy and ask for Gold as ransom and stuff like that xD the story develops in the later books
