well, when i moved in my last apartment, i only had 1 cat, and the 125 year old landlady said that cat's were fine. never said "but don't get any more than that." the old woman downstairs had two cats, so when a lady at work said "I'm moving across the country, would you please take my cat?" i said sure, what's one more? when my landlady found out she practically crapped herself. she wouldn't renew my lease in june and i had to move out, she only gave me 30 days notice too, the witch. but i found a bigger place with 2 bedrooms instead of 1 that's $50 a month less rent, and my old apartment is still empty! hah!

hah! that serves that old lady right! mean old landlord. but you would have still been in that old apartment with one cat. so it worked out better anyway. that's the way most of life seems to be. you lose something, but something better comes along that wouldnt have happened if you had not lost the other thing.
