IMO They really need to reboot the Joker and Lex Luthor for the DCEU. Maybe they should just have Joaquin Phoenix play the Joker officially for the next DCEU Batman movie, and recast Luthor with Billy Zane. Jared Leto andΒ Jesse Eisenberg are not cutting it for me.

Well, I'm not a big fan of Leto's Joker. I do give him credit for his creativity in his interpretation of this character, BUT it wasn't what I wanted to see. Plus, he really sounded like Ace Ventura in some scenes. The more I thought about it, the more hilarious it was XD

Actually the Jim Carrey voiceΒ FITS. Plus he seems happy being a crime lord and is not spouting Nolan-style philosophy every 2 scenes...

I can now see Joker venoming up Amy Schumer once she tries to steal one of his jokes.

Really? I rather thought of the animated Joker as talking like Ventura ~D
He reminded me of Marilyn Manson the first time I just saw him. Well, he needs getting used to, definitely, but Ledger took getting used to as well. To me at least.

He is such a tease for me because of the way he stresses certain words when speaking.
Btw, I've kept looking at your ava all the time...I like the Joker even more when he doesn't smile lol

Oh sure! I've been reading that comic recently again and I thought I knew that image from somewhere.
Before I saw your ava I thought of using an image from that comic as well. I love it when he goes "WHAT?!!!" when he's found guilty.
At first, his smile was like a sacrilege to me, something which you can't change in any way, but you are right, he's even more fun when he's frustrated.

It almost seems like a running gag to me because it reminded me of the scene in Faces of Death (wasn't it?) when they caught him and try to make him talk in that cell and he just motionlessly stares into the void until he falls alseep.
I had to laugh when he shoved that harmonica down that Slosser guy's throat and the doc stated that they would have to perform a surgery.
Just then, I realized that this is too brutal than to laugh about it...but the heck ~D I love that kind of humour they gave him and the book.

I love letos joker, Ive always loved all jokers! I was a huge fan of animated joker in the 90s as a kid, but as I grew up i lost my interest in everything. Life tends to do that... Letos joker brought me back home to remember how important mr j is in my life'
(er... Except I never cared for Jack Nicholson, Ive had an aversion to him since I was a kid- to the actor himself, not to his joker. I never could get ovr the fact that it was jack long enough to appreciate his joker)
Letos joker... I just want to lick him. A lot.

Hehe I understand that too. Im the same way, im ready to drop wb and dc forever if they don't give joker a movie (and ive been a life long fan) I am super angry about so many cut scenes of jokers in ss. If they didnt want an R rated performance than why didn't they tell jared that? "We want this to be able to get a pg13 rating" how difficult would that be? Not have him do tons of scenes and cut them all because theyre too adult for the kiddies. We lost so much, the scenes we did see were considerably longer originally (the shock torture as well as the argument in the street with harleen- they removed the part where he knocked her out) the end scene was supposed to have J all burned demanding harley leave with him (Hell, that was in the damn trailers!), the gold underwear scene (im assuming thats the part with toronto bunny- a model that was one of j's dancers and got cut completely), they fire where batman busted out j's teeth that explains his damaged tattoo... Its ridiculous. Lord. I just want them to give jareds joker a real chance. Taking all that and cutting it down to ten mins isnt a fair depiction of his performance. I can def understand being demanding. This should be for the fans! I feel like they cater to critics and thats wrong. The critics aren't the ones spending money, the fans are.
