Description Last but certainly not least...Boba Fett!

Spent most of the day researching the variations between the Empire and ROTJ versions of his armor. Empire is a little more blue and ROTJ is more green. That said it's hard to tell the real colors due to the varied lighting in old pics and different sets. ROTJ he's in direct sunlight so it's pretty clear. Even the cape-poncho-thing is different.

I added some yellow and green from Bossk in his visor. Needed something.

Hope you dig!

Oh! Here's a link [link] to check out the crazy process of making Mr. Fett.

oh wow! EXCELLENT! That group NEVER gets the love they deserve! I actually read "Tales of the Bounty Hunters," a book written in the 90s that told stories of each of those guys that spanned before, during, and after that scene where they're all on the Destroyer talking to Vader. It was cool!Β  Β

Hopefully we will get to see them in the Rebels series. I think Clone Wars did a great job with bounty hunters for that era so it would be nice for the classic guys to get some time in the spotlight. I'd really dig seeing Zuckuss and 4-LOM. They are still kind of a mystery.

Thx so much!

This was a tough one. Something I went into thinking it would be the easiest of the hunters and it kicked my butt!

Glad you dig!

I remember that day as well. I sat in the front row away from my parents and was blown away! Was a seven layer burrito of awesomeness. Snow battles, space ships and monsters and Darth Vader...and these cats! I think it was a standard of cool for our generation. Who didn't want to grow up and be as cool as Han, badass as Fett and overall dominating and powerful as Vader.I think Fett is a close second to Vader in character design. The looks are flawless. And fun to draw!

so true, sitting there during the "Empire" showing is one of the all time great kid experience. I'm glad I was able to see the original in the theaters before all this extra added nonsense of the modern day.. I'm not a fan of any of the special editions, give me the classic untouched originals any day of the week.

I totally get where you are coming from. Clean em up and restore them fore sure. ILM advanced technology changing film and, though compared to tech these days, was really a marvel of it's time. To us kids it was freaking magic. Makes those so much more impressive.

I love the Clone Wars cartoon but it is relevant to what is being done today. If tech is holographic in 20 years I'll still appreciate these shows for what they are now. Like I still appreciate Batman:The Animated Series.

Ever have a a piece of art you look back at and love the idea so much you want to revisit it? Add to it or do over?

I agree about the Toon, I'm a fan of the Clone Wars also, I like the slick animated look to it. It's something that Lucas has done right. I'm really enjoying it. I hasl like the CLone Wars adventures put out by Dark Horse.

Yeah, when it comes to the art, I've been close to retouching or playing around with it, but I've stopped myself and tried something different instead.

I think one of the reasons CW is so good is it's done by people who grew up with the original movies and they really have a great feel for what is true to SW and what is not. I try to find all the behind the scenes stuff I can. That and Kilian Plunkett has always been one of my favorite artists. His design work is pretty awesome. His Aliens work back in the day was insane!

I agree with the art take. Ever have an idea you felt you couldn't completely realize for some limitation or another? Of course the reason I ask is when George states tech wasn't where he needed it to be to fulfill his vision, I just have a hard time relating. Partly due I think to that it is a different medium. I think it's interesting.

I also think too, that studios altering his early films really pushed him over the edge. Maybe that heightened his need to get his work to where he really wanted it even on a creative level. So not only did he aim to restore his movies to his vision from butchered editing (no doubt saw other directors visions altered around him) but also developed that urge to make the "real" vision a reality as well?

As an artist I think I can understand. As a fan not as much. But it has kept Star Wars alive a long time and introduced to new generations.

Thx dude!

I have never been so frustrated with a pic as this one. Everytime I thought I had it where I wanted it, I reworked it again. I was so tired of looking at it for so long I had to work on 4-LOM to get away from it. Between all the countless action figures and different pics getting the colors right was crazy. I actually saved a pic online and opened in Phtotshop to sample the colors.

Finally, I will be posting a big pic of all the hunters together. They form an image of Vader when you put them together. You can kinda see it if you look at them in my gallery.

Thx again!
