Description
Built in 1977 by the Izhevsk Machinebuilding Plant in the former Soviet Union for use by Sgt. Major Dimitri Medvev. Originally built as a custom AK-74U using the 5.45x39mm round, Medvev had it converted to use the 7.62x39mm round used in the AK-47 due to the lower stopping power in 1980. Using tight rifling and custom high-powered rounds and a rate of fire at 900rp, it had a kick that even Medvev couldn't control easily. Eventually a foregrip was fixed on in 1982. Before any of the conversions, it was used during Operation Storm-333, were Medvev was attached to a contingent of the Zenith Group. Medvev helped to take the Tajbeg Palace, and "Anya" was used to eliminate Hafizullah Amin. "Anya" was used many times in the Soviet war in Afghanistan, but Medvev began to hate the gun due to its complexity, difficult high-maintenance, and constant jamming, lead Medvev to eventually abandon the gun in a storage area at Kapustin Yar in 1985.Tajberg Palace-[link]

Yes. The s stands for folding in Russian, meaning its stock. The u is Russian for shortened. The reason I didn't include the S is because Anya does not have a stock.
