Turning yellow.
Sun rising.
Horizon calling.
Forever beating down.
On my skin.
Sunset approaching
Darkness falling.
But always remembering.
That golden sun.

Gorgeous capture.
The detail is incredible, composition is perfect.
At first I felt like the colors tones were a little too warm, but I actually think they fit the tone of the image, time of day, peaceful mood, etc. I don't have anything negative to say, which is rare.

This piece looks like a very warm end to a autumn day. You've managed to capture the delicate rays of the sun which can often be lost in my pieces. This allows the whole image to feel much warmer and give it a painted feel about it.
It very much reminds me of a classic style painting yet as a photograph which I find very interesting.
You've got a very nice composition here which whilst does split the picture into two parts in this instance it works very very well.
You should be very happy with this piece, it's a very nice photograph.

Au contrair, it was the end of a very cold late autumn day. But yes, it does feel so much warmer.

While turning an image black and white is renowned for making it look good (as in "classy"), it doesn't always work like that. There, the image is too rough, the top and center too blurred and the foreground seems sharpened in an unnatural way. Black and white only draws attention on those faults and the unnatural look of the shot, while here the colors help remedy that, giving it an almost vintage look (or, if you prefer, the look of an English school landscape painting).

It's been cleaned up a bit and contrasted a bit (the unchanged lightning can be seen in my picture Billund II), but the light is as it was at the scene.
