Yes, he's still from Ninja Turtles. He also has his own comic book. I wanted to draw Usagi anime style. I didn't use any kind of reference for the character design, so he may look a little off. I just went from memory as to what he kind of looks like and then just added my own stuff to it.I'm afraid I'm not too good with action poses since I know very little about fighting, but I hope it's good enough to pass. I tried a different coloring technique. I like how this came out a lot, but it also take a LOT of time to color this way. I'll only be doing coloring like this every once in a while. I also wouldn't mind putting a real background in there someday.

Actually Usagi Yojimbo came before the original TMNT, his seires was one of the first mangas to come to America.

In fact, it was actually from America. The creator, Stan Sakai was born in Kyoto but grew up in Hawaii. So you could say it's a Japanese-American comic.
Regardless, it IS pretty cool.

Bit of trivia, Usagi did indeed show up in the old cartoon (one episode was actually titled something along the lines of "Usagi Come Home"). He's a famous little bunny!

I remember Usagi was also appeared in the orrigenal TMNT cartoon & action figure line. I heard they always give him a cameo in TMNT, and the TMNT have made cameos in the Usagi comics before as well.

I don't ever recall seeing him in the old TMNT cartoon show. I know there was a rabbit at one time, but it wasn't Usagi. But just because I didn't see it, doesn't mean it didn't happen. But there was definitely an Usagi Yojimbo/TMNT crossover comic at one time. I've seen it floating around here and there.

I don't remember seeing the ep with him either. At [link] they have an overview of all of the episodes from the orrigenal cartoon, as well as most of 'em from the new one.

There was an easter episode and there was a rabbit in it, but it wasn't Isagi. His name was something goofy like Hokum Hare or something. And he had a southern accent, I believe. Not as cool as Usagi

Well, he's from an American comic called Usagi Yojimbo. And he also makes an appearance in the new Ninja Turtle tv show. I decided to draw him anime style just for the heck of it. That's not how he really looks ^.^
