Oh man, this is so old. I forgot about it. And about the tatoos again. The turtle boys with any kind of tattoos are kinda fun.

Season 5's in my personal fanon discontinuity, but the one thing I did like about that season was their glowing markings.

Season five was amaaaaaaziiiiiing. The glowing tattoos could be a little silly from time to time, but they were still quite epic.
This just brings it back to silly again. And I don't dislike the fact. XDDD Very well done.

I'm not super familiar with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, so be merciful on this question: What is the deal with the glowing tattoos? I enjoy them but am not in the know

The glowing tattoos happened in season 5 and just that season. I honestly don't remember all the details as to how/why they got them. It's been a while since I've seen it, too.

In a 'lost' (aka deleted) season, the turtles are chosen by a group called the Ninja Tribunal (with ironically, four members) to train as acolytes with four warrior humans. When they found something that was special to them, their 'power' or niche to focus, they began to glow with those tattoos. Donatello got his when he was using his brain to focus for example. (I haven't seen the season in awhile so I'm a little foggy.) I hope this helps.

Ahahahah that's totally my reaction to half my friends when we watch scary movies. One of them gets scared and if I'm sitting next to her she'll start punching me in the arm telling me to stop the movie...even though were in a theater...
Had to pause House of Wax about 5 times for her when we watched it at a friends house...still pretty funny though.
