Heh, took me a few months, but i finally finished a painting. Despite being able to use the handy little copy/paste tool a bit, all those patterns just about killed my hand. I tend to grip my pen much harder when i am painting tiny intricate lines. I love the results, but i am not sure they are worth the effort...

At first, I wasn't too keen on the colors (specifically the yellow-ish pillows?) but, the more I look at it, the more I'm able to appreciate how they compliment the color of her eyes, hair and bodice. While they're not colors that I would have chosen, I think they work really well here - despite my not being able to notice at a quick first glance.

yeah I am really diggin the wallpaper, adds so much to the picture.... this kinda reminds me of Lizzie Borden, that chick who killed her family with an axe way back in the day.;.... i think its the couch....

Ok, now for my comment: The wall is lovely, I think it was worth it. The whole picture is very nice but the face is much more detailed and has more contrast than the rest of her and looks a bit odd. Great work on the pillows too.

I do agree about her face. Unfortunately i noticed it when i was uploading it to dA, which by then i couldn't stand to think of working on it any more. I was hoping no one would notice

I know what you mean! I quick fix would be to darken or burn over some of the other shadows with the darken/burn brushes, but that could also do more harm than good. It is lovely the way it is.

Hey. Just wondering, how do you make your images so large? I have a 2.4 gig pentium 4 and if I make an image 1500 * 2000 it lags like crazy......

Oh, i am a bit clueless when it comes to computers, so i don't know what my stats are. Normally ps would crash with an image this size, it actually did once and i lost over an hours worth of work because i had forgotten to save

Less layers. A good idea! I use HEAPS of layers, and I think part of the reason is that I am a bit excessive compulsive and before I change anyting I like to duplicate it. I think I need to change my drawing habits....
