Description Drawn in mechanical pencil on memopad paper. As usual.

Character is NOT mine; it's Akane from Ranma 1/2, created by Takahashi Rumiko.

Um. The pose is based on an existing picture of Akane drawn by her creator, but the sentiment behind the picture was from an AU fanfic idea I had for the Ranma-verse. The hiragana SHOULD read "Akane", if I've got it right...

Your style (at least in this piece) reminds me a lot of my own. Hehehe. I like the pose too. Your hiragana isn't half bad either (although the character for "ne" isn't quite right )

Really? I have to admit this isn't really my style though... It was more of me trying to imitate Takahashi Rumiko's style (since she created Akane and Ranma 1/2 and all...) *is guilty* I've been trying to try out new styles though but all I can manage are chibis. >_<

Eheh, thanks for the heads-up on the hiragana... I guess teaching oneself Japanese off fansubs isn't exactly the best way!

Yeah i know exactly what you mean. I've done the same thing lol. I'm still trying to develop my own style, so for now i'm mimicking others (like Rumiko-sama) until I get a feel for what suits me best. And hehe, I've been teaching myself Japanese too, but now I'm actually in an official class, so woot!

Ah well, developing your own style is always something of a journey / adventure. And yay for actually properly learning japanese! ...I gotta take proper classes one day. -__-;;
