Description This is a fractal, rendered in Apophysis. (v 2.05b). High resolution widescreen wallpaper.

I have mixed feelings about this one, I'm not sure if I like it.

Either way, my poor computer spent about five hours rendering this, so I should post it.

This deviation is included in my 2007 Fractal Calendar

Beautiful, I think the composition works very well. Generally, you have used the same shapes, but what I think is preventing a sense of repetition to me are the different colours of them. I also like the differences in the lighting from on and around the shapes. Nice stuff!

fractals never cease to fascninate me. I particularily like this one because of the earth tones in it, which just happen to be my favorite colors lol
I like the contrasting shapes between the jagged lines and the spheres.

Fractal art usually isn't my cup of tea, but I like this, nice tones and everything.
Full view is definately worth the look.

I have a friend thats more addicted to sparkly things than a magpie We walk past any shop with anything sparkly or shiny, and you can predict her reaction.

"OOOooh! Shiny!"

I like it...there's a metallic look, some glass, silken threads...and lots of depth. It's a darned good render, I think!

Apophysis 2.05b is so much faster at doing large high quality renders! I've never really used it much before because it was slow, so its a good change

desmo100 In reply to twodimensions [2006-10-02 19:12:23 +0000 UTC]

That IS good! That was Apo's biggest drawback for me.

I've got quite a slow computer, so it's still not super-fast, but it cuts down a 3600x4800 render down from days to hours, so I can start the render before I go out, and its usually finished when I get back

I know!! I did those hearts and this one (which was intended to be a grand julian, I followed the tut from start to end and ended up getting orbs ) just to test it out really, I was impressed!
