the grass look reealistic did you just use a pic of grass or what?
the only thing wrong really is the shadows on the neck look weird some how they need to change how dark they are but it's still cute. XD

and you ust need to look at a picture that's a profile or whatever, something simaler to whatever it is ur doing, and look at where the main shadows are and how they fade. woot. XD

The best thing you could do with this is delete it, turn off your computer, and pick up pencil and paper. You don't have a good grasp of volume and color, let alone equine anatomy; there's no change in value to denote the curves of the animal, nor does it look like there's any sort of underlying structure (read: a skeleton). You've made a complex outline and filled it in rather than analyzing the basic shapes of a horse (bones, muscles, tendons, skin, etc.) and how they fit together.
Scour Photoshop from your hard drive and start drawing from life; draw a ball sitting under a lamp to work on shadow, volume and shape, do some still lifes and draw people from observation. Get some anatomy books and draw bones and muscle systems, so you have a better grasp of what goes on inside bodies and why the outside looks the way it does. Read about (or take classes in) painting to learn about color. Photoshop, Painter, CorelDraw and programs like that are the biggest hindrance to learning out to draw and create art; digital painting is harder than traditional media, not the other way around, and if you don't have the basic skills you need first, it's just going to end up...well, like this. Don't give up, though; the best artists all start out at the bottom, and never stop learning.

OMG WHO DO U THINK U R!!!!!!!!!! this is one of the best drawings my frnd has EVER done! how could u just tear her heart, she was realy proud of this drawing and god u just broke her pride, today she was so upset! in her reply bak to u she is just being nice because she is a rly nice person and isnt rude like u to tell people to delete their drawings just because u think it is crap! i mean like u can talk u have no art at all on DA!!!! there is absolutly no need for that harshness, she is trying so hard to improve!!! she doesnt need ur crits that r only bringing her down! my style isnt anatomicly (if thats even a word....u get what i mean) correct she is a cartoonist just like me! and if i were u i would not say enything at all if u cant say something "NICE"

Calm down, child. Critique is the only way you ever improve. Your friend has her preferences set to "advanced critique encouraged," and that's exactly what I gave her. All my advice is good and solid, and I told her to keep trying and improving. Even cartoonists have a solid grasp of the rules of anatomy; you have to understand the rules before you can break them. Look at Picasso; his paintings were realistic for years before he developed cubism. Unfortunately, in any creative endeavor, be it visual art, writing, acting or music, you have to be told what's wrong as well as what's right, so you know what to change and how to go about gaining the skills to change it.

I agree. This artwork is very good, but your right, anatomy is important. ( Not that I should be talking...) Your critique was very helpful in my opinion, but you could have suggested instead of telling her what to do. And Wolfsoul, you shouldn't blow up in peoples faces like that. When someone gives critique they are trying to help, not hurt the artists feelings. I do think that This artwork is very good, ( considering I can't draw a thing with my tablet, let alone mouse ) but you shouldn't be fighting over another persons art Wolf soul. Take the critique and use it for your own artwork, try to improve yourself by listening to suggestions. I'm sure that if two-worlds wants this critique, she will take it to heart herself, and if she is proud of her artwork then she has nothing to worry about! Sorry to butt in, just wanted to say something...
p.s- Wolfsoul, the critique was not awful. It was just detailed and, well, instructive... and anatomically is a word.
