All those years of the Princess being kidnapped by various villains has eroded her view of inherent innocence and her own abilities. Slowly the sweet princess began to turn sour, something that her friends noticed with growing concern. They wondered what was happening to the Mushroom Kingdom's monarch and how it would affect the kingdom and its subjects. At first they tried to talk the princess into reveling Β the reason was for her increasingly erratic and dark behavior. The princess assures them that there is nothing wrong with her and she is fine, this doesn't soothe her companions. Β Β
Their worries growing worse over the ensuing days and weeks, Toadsworth, one of Peach's bodyguards , sets the task of setting the princess straight on his own shoulders and sets about choosing the right opportunity for his plan to sweeten the princess's attitude. Unfortunately, he's acting too slowly to have a chance.
One day, Toadsworth ascends the stairs heading for Peach's bedroom to start a stern talk about her now morbid mood. But when he opens the door, he's shocked to find the room is empty and a note from one of Bowser's underlings, Kammy Koopa, on the bed. He races out of the room all the while shouting "THE PRINCESS HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED!!!" and alarming the castle staff. His words roar throughout the kingdom soon reaching the door of the kingdom's heroic plumber, Mario. With the challenge from Kammy's letter reverberating in his ears, the plumber sets off for the castle where his princess is being held and is able to bounce, punt and fight his way to its front doors. Now standing before them, he gathers his wits and enters the castle... right into a scene of horror.
Before him lie the mangled bodies of koopas and goombas and as he walks through the grisly decor he reaches the central chamber which houses Bowser's throne. He sees the Koopa King is on it but he isn't moving and he sees why: Standing at his feet is Princess Peach, her hair darkened and frayed by blood and fire along with her once pristine dress which is now in fragments thankfully covering some parts of her. The bottom of the dress is in tatters, showing her legs while the equally torn upper half shows her midriff and upper chest. Her hair, splattered by blood and scorch marks, adds an aura of fear to her form as she stands silently before the fallen king unmoving as if the plumber behind her is invisible.Β
The plumber swallow a baseball-sized lump in his throat before talking:
"Princess?" His voice sounds like it came from a half-strangled mouse. But its all he manages to say at the sight of the sanguine-soaked royalty in front of him.
At first the princess doesn't respond to his call and remains still. Mario calls to her again...
"Princess?" This time taking a step forward and this finally stirs the stationary princess from her trance. But what comes out of her mouth chills Mario more than the coldest mountain peak.
he...he...he...he... hehehehehehehehehehe....
The chuckle that comes from the Princess' mouth is low and as cold as a glacier then...
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mad chortles rip out of her throat and fill the air with a sound that would drive anyone else to move Β themselves far away from the Princess whose body seems have to been drained of all its previous playfulness and light and refilled with insanity, blood lust and rage like some demon stored deep in her mind has been released at last savoring its newfound and unbound freedom.
The laughter soon dies down to only an occasional chuckle then she turns and faces Mario and nearly makes him run away screaming at the sight. Her hair covers her eyes but her mouth is bent into a gleefully dark smirk and shows off the weapon she used against Bowser and his cohorts: a small but still very sharp and bloody sword in her left hand. Mario begins backing up as his survival instincts begin to activate and ready body for flight. But before he can move the Princess speaks...
"Mario, he he he... i got rid of that pesky king all by myself." She says with the kind of voice a child would use against an imaginary enemy. This only scares the plumber more.
"He won't be bothering us anymore and i can have some peace and quiet at last." She parts the darkened bangs covering her face and shows her eyes which have lost their light and now only a hollow, icy shell is left. Mario stutters out:
"P-P-P-Princess, W-W-Wh-Wh-What h-h-h-happened?"Β
The princess simply points behind her at the seemingly deceased King. Β "Oh, him?" she asks innocently. "I decided to show him what it means to keep your hands off things that don't belong to you. But he didn't listen so I had to teach him directly why stealing is wrong." Her smile widening and her pupils shrinking as Mario sees her hand grip the swords hilt tighter. Apparently some of that rage still hasn't died off and he makes quick mental note not to anger her, EVER.
The Princess steps down from the throne and advances toward Mario who begins backing up in fright.
"Hehehehe... Why are you backing away from me, Mario? I'm still the same Princess you know and love, right?"
"NO WAY!!!" The plumber shouts in his head. This is NOT the same Princess he knows, she would never be this violent towards anyone even her enemies. She's become some kind of creature who slays her foes with no compassion or mercy and enjoys seeing them fall. This is NOT his Princess.
Peach continues to advance on him getting faster and faster as he does them same trying to get away. The Princess suddenly launches herself at himself and he screams in terror as the princess' face come within inches of his own, that smile has grown into a nearly satanic curl and her eyes look completely empty as she speaks again.
"Don't worry, Mario, nothing will separate us ever again." She raises the sword in her hand and hurls it into the throne where the blade embeds itself in the Koopa King's hand drawing more blood. I can defend myself too and I also can help you and your friends." Her voice rises and falls in pitch and tone unevenly making Mario break out in a cold sweat even as Peach begins snuggling against him, smearing him in blood and grime.
"Help Me." The plumber whispers. Now paralyzed by the unstable Princess's closeness and the thought of having to take her back to the castle. How is he going to explain this to Toadsworth or the others? What will happen to Peach? What will happen to HIM?
Whew, that is all I can do for this. I hope you enjoy it. I hope I didn't make too many errors.
