Description Taken Jan. 10. 2010 - Mill Street, San Luis Obispo, Ca

I have always loved this street in San Luis Obispo. These trees only line this one block. I couldn't tell you what kind of trees they are but it's a beautiful street, in all times of the year. There was so much contrast this morning with the rising sun peering over the houses and trees I knew this would make for a great black and white, which I only use seldom. But here I think works wonderfully. There wasn't much I could do about the cars but people do actually live here so... whatever.

yeah, picked up one a while back. Didn't use it here though. I darkened the sky in post. This photo was really made in the processing... process. But, credit due- it was good in color. I'm sure you've seen this street all kinds.

So how are you liking CS3?

I like it. I've had only minimal training with Photoshop, like cloning, etc. The rest I'm learning as I go. Doing multiple layers is something I need to learn more of. Steps involved and all that. I seem to have a hard time sharpening my pics for the web. I've sort of adapted my own steps that I can live with.

Well when you get more familiar with the way the program works, the sharpening method I created that tutorial for recently is the best I've been able to utilize so far, after much searching for a proper method. I really started caring about the sharpness and clarity of my photos last March or so and I've been searching all that time. The tutorial I made is my best conclusion.

Working with layers is a tough business. I recommend you look up some tutorials on that

Love it, and don't worry about the cars they aren't over-intrusive and this isn't a completely "natural" scene (what is?) - great work
