I LOVE the stories of Brair Rabbit, yet I am dismayed that kids that were not born in the south were not told these stories due to some regarding the stories as being racially insensitive. So, I drew a series of Brair Rabbit based on japanese influences so maybe one day these stories can be told in the form of a picture book.Related content

Glad to hear that I am not the only one! I'll be sure to keep up with more illustrations from this sort of concept. While Tar Baby was my favorite story, it will be tricky to retell. Perhaps "Mochi Baby?" as it is just as sticky as tar? XD

hehe my mom has a REALLY southern voice, so it's so fun to listen to her read the book. No one else can do it like she can.
