Description
"Blind Confidence" After finishing the Collector, I wanted to draw a simpler image as my first one of the year before shifting focus on my upcoming Imagine FX step by step piece. I was being inspired by artists of yesteryear like Harry Clarke and Mucha. And while I was working I found myself drifting further and further from executing realism in place of iconography and design. As she developed in the sketch, I liked the idea of reversing the negative stigma of the phrase "blind confidence" into something more of courage. That even though you don't know what lies ahead you feel armed and ready for whatever is thrown your way with a few bruises, burns, and scratches to be expected. So I'm ready to throw myself into the creative fire and I'm definitely expecting frustrations and road bumps (especially on the 5 ft piece) but knowing it's for something greater encourages me! Here's to 2019 🔥
