He'd flirted with plenty of kamis before, and known a great number of other kamishiba, but he hadn't ever had this sort of safe bond with anyone else. It had to be a sign...
Watching the sunset together one evening, atop a lone hill, Samael began to explain at length his earlier life. No other kamishiba knew about the things he would divulge to Sorrel, and no one else needed to...only Sorrel. And then, in the end...he asked. It was a bit like a polite request, but he wanted to be together with this kamishiba...they had something special together, after all.
Sorrel curled their tail around the other's, their lips spreading into a gentle smile...
