Page one of a pattern for My little pony style Griffons. This pattern was heavily inspired by Voodoo-Tikis pony pattern (Tutorial and links for that pattern here: [link] )Link to page 2: [link]

Just printing out and using the pattern without re-sizing it should make a Griffon about 7-8 inches tall
If anyone uses this pattern, please post your Griffon with a link back here in your description. Also, drop a comment here with a link to it, I'd love to see any! Also, if you think there is anything I should change to improve it, please let me know.

I'm thinking of using this pattern as a staring point to learn how to sew. Problem is, I'm not sure how to use a pattern.
Would you be able to point me in the right direction? And using the skills I have with 3D nets, I'd like to improve the head to match my drawing style (my griffon fursona is my Icon, but he is a mixed regular/mlp styled griffon)
Not sure how ill make the neon ink blotches yet, and I would like to resize the pattern to make a 12" tall griffon. I plan on using minky.

Well, I'm hardly any sort of expert. I've only been making plushies for about 3 months, but I will do my best to help. Personally, I started with making a couple pretty simple parasprite plushies to get the hang of it. If you've not done any sewing before I'd recommend trying something relatively simple like that. Or, try out making the Gilda friend first, just so you get the basics down before attempting your OC.
As for how to use a pattern, Voodoo-Tiki has a great tutorial on how to use his pony pattern, which is the one I modified to make this griffon pattern. The patterns are still similar enough that his tutorial should be easy to use for my pattern. There's a link to that tutorial in the description above. I'm going to be updating this pattern and making a tutorial for the front claw/feet sometime soon, as a few people have told me they look difficult, so that should help too once its up.
Now, for re-sizing, you could either make the pattern about 50-75% bigger before printing it out, and then cut and glue any pieces split over 2 pages back together. Or you could use the grid drawing method [link] to re-size it manually.
Changing the head to match your style, you may be on your own for that. Though I could maybe give it a shot if I had a good pic of your OC.

That's the funny thing, it's not complete mlp style but rather a mix of styles. That's why I am doing that.
