I like how the fish is about to snatch up the bird and the bird doesn't even seem to have a clue.

I've seen the Walking With Dinosaurs - Sea Monsters version of this. Inside of it attacking while it's prey is on the surface, the Xiphactinus attacks the Hesperornis while it's underwater, looking for fish. I have to say, the contrast of how you draw these paleoart pictures is astounding, even when I was drawing dinosaurs back when I was younger, I used to have trouble drawing these sort of things, but now, I write more then draw, so I've sort of gone rusty since then. But I'm still a dinosaur/prehistoric maniac to the coreXD lol. I wish you good luck in future Paleoart. I salute you.

your knowledge of prehistoric animals astounds me just as much as how well you draw them.

Sweet shot. Reminds me of the Jaws novel cover. Sweet drawing.

I like it a lot, though the perspective is different and I don't know if you get the sense of how big the fish really was. For anyone who doesn't know, it was a really monster fish, getting up to 5m (~16 ft) in length (as suggested by this [link] )

Yes I read about it and saw the fossils in scomparison. I first thought to illustrate it with a swimming dinosaur, but then decided that Hesperornis-type of bird would be more suitable.

Poor poor little birdy.
Oh well!! S'till prettifull!! I dig the detailing in the water, like the light rays and all. *nods* And the subtle bubbling.
