Description Mt. Baker also known as Koma Kulshan or simply Kulshan, is an active glaciated andesitic stratovolcano in the Cascade Volcanic Arc and the North Cascades of Washington State in the United States. It is the second-most active volcano in the range after Mount Saint Helens. Located about 31 miles (50 km) due east of the city of Bellingham, Washington. It is one of the snowiest places in the world; in 1999, Mount Baker Ski Area, located 14 km (8.4 mi) to the northeast, set the world record for recorded snowfall in a single season—1,140 inches (95 feet or 2,896 cm). Awesome skiing and never a crowd.

Put a visit on your bucket list. The drive up to the top from Bellingham is, well, awesome.

Excellent photo!  I voted for it in the above mentioned contest.  If volcanoes interest you, you might check out some of the photos I have of the volcanoes on the other side of the northwestern Pacific.  There are 47 recognized, active volcanoes distributed among the 22 major islands of that volcanic archipelago between Japan and Kamchatka.
