Henry Philip “Hank” McCoy is a founding member of the X-Men known as The Beast because of his inhuman, ape-like superhuman strength and agility his oversized hands and feet. Equally important is his mind, a genius-level intellect that specializes in biochemistry and genetics. In addition to his mutant abilities, McCoy experimented on himself and this altered his physical appearance—giving him a full coat of blue fur over his entire body.
