Kitty: Hello, everybody! And, welcome to the Masked Toon Singer! I'm your host, Kitty Katswell, and we got quite a competition for you! This summer, 18 cartoon characters from differents forms of work including animated movies, TV shows, anime, children's books, comics, and video games will be singing their hearts out to win the praises and votes of our adoring public. However, they'll all be wearing goofy looking costumes to hide their identities, and it's our job to figure out who's behind the mask. At the end of the competition, whoever is left standing will be crowned the King/Queen of the Masked Toon Singer! Doesn't that sound exciting?

Audience: (cheering)

Kitty: Great! Now, our contestants are split into three groups of six. The three singers with the highest number of votes will move onto the next round as part of the Super Nine, while the other half will be unmasked and sent back to their universes. This week, we'll be starting with Group A, which consists of Ham, Moth, Mummy, Popcorn, Demon, and Viper. Let's get this started by getting to know more about everyone's favorite deli meat, the Ham.

Ham: Can I be honest with you all? I didn't think I'd enjoy being on this show. But, it's just like trying a brand new food dish. You never know if you'll like it until you give it a try. In fact, I tried something new to win back the trust of my best friend, who happened to be a former con man tasked with delivering a rare creature to a corporate bigwig. But, enough of that. What IS important is my dream of being an inventor, figuring out new ways to get around without as much hassle. However, my inventions keep blowing up in my face, along with my dreams. But, you wanna know what WON'T blow up in my face? My chances of being crowned the first King of the Masked Toon Singer!

Kitty: Wow! That was a great performance! Good thing he didn't "ham it up!" XD

Kitty: (clears throat) Anyway, up next is a singer who's just getting out of her cocoon, the Moth!

Moth: I gotta say, coming out of my cocoon to appear on the Masked Toon Singer sure took a LOT of willpower, but I think it paid off in spades. This isn't normally the color you would see me in, though, as I'm often seen in different shades of green. In fact, I'm part of a group of special individuals that wear that particular color, and I'm pretty much the most well-know female member of it. I was specially chosen by a bunch of little blue guys with a pretty bad fashion sense because I showed a lot of willpower, and gave me a ring of immense power. Well, as long as I stay away from wood, or anything that's yellow, I should be okay. Besides, I'll need all the willpower I can get if I'm gonna be crowned the Queen of the Masked Toon Singer.

Kitty: Wow! That was a rockin' performance! Now, let's brush aside the sands of time, and awaken our next contestant, who I'm sure will give a well-preserved performance: the Mummy!

Mummy: Over a thousand years of waiting, and I've risen from my tomb to showcase my skills. Actually, I've been dormant for twenty years, only recently returning to the spotlight. Back in my reign, I was a rising star on Cable TV, along with a few other animated characters. I came from down under to live a modern life in society, where I had to overcome various obstacles like taking out the trash, doing the laundry, commuting to work, and even avoiding the neighbor's dog. But, with the help of my friends, this mummy was able to overcome those obstacles, and now I'm ready to take back the throne as King of the Masked Toon Singer!

Kitty: Well, it definately was something interesting. But, entertaining nonetheless. Up next, we have a snack that would rather see the movies, as opposed to being eaten at them. Please welcome the Popcorn!

Popcorn: 'Ello, love! I'm the Popcorn, and here are some clues to make your brain pop. I actually come a group of heroes that feels like a satirization of another famous group of heroes, and I happen to be the only female in the group, believe it or not. Yeah, I know it's tricky dealing with a couple of men, but hey, they're like family to me. I'm also the fastest one in the group, able to run laps around the competition. Especially when you mention a squeaky toy banana. Nummy! I may not have been the leader of my group, but once I become the first Queen of the Masked Toon Singer, they might wanna reconsider. So, look out, world! This popcorn's gonna be poppin' in your face!

Kitty: Wow! That performance was poppin'! No pun intended. Up next, we open up the red hot gates, and unleash an unholy surprise onto everyone! So, give it up for the Demon!

Demon: I chose to become the Demon because I had inner demons within me ever since the day I was born. When I was born, I was... well, different. So much so, that my father had to hide my differences from the public. But, once word got out, things got totally demonic! I was mocked and scorned, and was even banned from the other Demons' games because I was so different. But, thanks to a couple of misfit friends of mine, and a freak snowstorm on the day of Christianity, I was able to rise up, and earn the respect and appreciation of everyone! Soon, I'll be going down in history again, as the King of the Masked Toon Singer!
