The crowd was not pleased, their modest offerings barely kept her from starving. But the sign appeared. Burning shape, like a diamond with wings, painting her nights with flaming obsession. She walked. Searching. With hurting feet she descended in the coldness of a forgotten tomb. The talisman was there, a pale glister in the green darkness. It was dwelling on the chest of a rotten king of old, Kagoth, the Tyrant of Megyria. From then, her modest urn became the pride of the temples, and her mystic display of illusory might, the most desired of spectacles. The crowd revered her, whispering her name with fervor, calling her Mother of Fog and Goddess of Chanting. Somewhere in Erjahl, an old statue portrays her walking on a bird serpent and smiling at the three moons. Kalyanna, the Arcane Idol.
