Description Howdy do! Just wanted to put this up for my buddy John *Corvidae65 . I just got a new Nikon D7100, and was playin at the beach with it tonight.
As I said earlier, via text to John, the sunset wasn't exactly spectacular...

I love this. I think it has a lot of personality, layers. Sorta like most people. Not exactly spectacular, but interesting if you take a good look.

I know you were being philosophical, but actually this shot was done with the in camera HDR, so yes it is really layered....
But yeah, few folks are "spectacular" on the surface. Those who are spectacular on the surface generally aren't all that whoopie on the inside. You know, philosophically, maybe Jefferson had it right about all being created equal, nature tends to balance.
Sure glad I'm ugly!

hehehe. yes, I was, but I like when life puts me in my place.
I have been tossing around the idea of HDR, but think I will wait a bit longer--until I know more about photography in general.

You aint ugly and you know it. But whatever helps you sleep at night, lol.

I was just talking to a friend about this sort of thing earlier today. It's all about perspective. That is the complete and utter blindspot for the young. Lack of perspective and frames of reference. And there isn't any way to get them but to live. We are more spectacular as we age...simple as that.

Yes, we are! We learn as we age, unfortunately, our bodies get worse as our experiences get more and varied. Man, if I`d have known then what I know now! ROFL!

Thank you Bob!   It's a beautiful capture! It may not have been spectacular, but it's still the best looking view I've seen for a while!  I'm so looking forward to another Florida trip!   I've even got Audra plotting how she can go to her graduations in May and still make a trip there with me to meet up with you and Alice in April   I don't know if it will happen or not since she started the new job though

I like the detail the new cam gives.  Is this the in camera HDR or a single exposure?

This is a camera created HDR... just having some fun with it trying to figure it out... There's plenty of time... shoot, we may be up there in the spring for all I know.
