These Pelicans were really pretty far out there for even my 300mm lens, this one came in close enough for me to get a decent shot of him.
The reason they were so far out was they were busy fishing.

These are my favorite as far as shooting. They're so smooth flying, so easy to track (opposed to a tern in flight). ANd actually look quite graceful in the air.

Yeah... I'm going to go back and see if I can get some better shots this year... Maybe I need to hock the house and get a 600mm f/2 lens.
