Thanks so much! This one is really old... I shot it with my old Sony Mavica. It was one of the first shots I put up on DA! Thanks!

Pleasure Bob. It's one of my favourites from your collection.

Something so simple yet, Relaxing

The older you get, the more you'll realize the simple is always more relaxing! The complex requires too much thought! Thanks so much, Rock!

I looked at this just as "Staring At the Sun" by U2 came on the radio. This...is fantastic.

Oh my Gosh!!!!!!!! My friend has a place near PC!! That's incredible - there are no people in the shot! I never would have imagined an empty slice of beach there.

PCB and Mexico Beach are great for sundowns! If you go in October, or April, when I'm in the area on biz, it's not crowded. I think this one I shot from behind the Blue Dolphin Motel.

Ahh I see - the only time I ever get to go anywhere is on summer vacation.
TThealer56 In reply to catacosmosis-xo [2007-03-30 18:42:59 +0000 UTC]
Wellllll we take vacations between work....... btw, we do almost all our trips to the southeast, although we're from Kansas. It's one of the little perks of being self employed.

I hope to someday be able to employ myself... But, right now I am really hoping for a teaching job at the community college... I LOVE teaching, and I fell into accidentally but fell in love with it! Something came up for the summer so I am applying for the programming job there for now, see what happens, and then continue teaching adjunct if I don't get that position...hoping for full time in the near future. IF it doesn't happen by fall I will probably have to move one though. Of course, I've been saying that for a couple of years...

Well.......... somebody's got to teach....... Go for it girl! Self employment is NOT for everybody, it isn't easy, and you have to be able to juggle EVERYTHING! But the rewards are pretty cool if you don't mind living on the edge!

I'd be most worried and frustrated by the tax stuff...
TThealer56 In reply to catacosmosis-xo [2007-04-01 21:13:36 +0000 UTC]
Not that difficult my dear!
catacosmosis-xo In reply to TThealer56 [2007-04-01 21:18:41 +0000 UTC]
Haha maybe for a person who is not a procrastinator when it comes to that sort of stuff. But...then maybe I am just lacking self confidence of working for myself, and using that as a convenient excuse...

You may be, but that's when you have to decide to get off your butt and do it! Drop me a note, I'll discuss it with you...... It's really not that difficult........

Thanks! It was quite calm that evening....... one of the oddities of that part of the Gulf is you can get some nice sunsets as well as sun rises. I remember one time looking at a photo someone took that said it was a sunset at Myrtle Beach, SC. Something struck me odd about it, then it occured to me that Myrtle Beach is on the east coast......... the sun can't dip below the horizon there......... Had to be a sun rise! Bob

Beautiful shot ...the sun looks square!
TThealer56 In reply to o-LJ-o [2007-01-28 17:02:28 +0000 UTC]
Thanks! The reason the sun looks square probably has something to do with the old Mavica FD that I shot the pic with............ Thanks for the fav too! Bob
