We were set up next to Jennifer at a show in Florida, and she does excellent work! We fell in love with it.

Thanks so much Manny! I want to get about 4 more of these, and when I get the cover built over the back porch have them on the patio.

Oh, you can check her site from the artists comments but I think they were around $75.00 USD.

She does a lot of different stuff. It's all that way. Not the run of the mill pottery...

Ohhh! That is amazing! I can see why you fell in love with it! Marvelous use of glaze and raw pottery And you've done so well with photographing it to show it all off

Well, let's just say this is easier to shoot than the normal thing I shoot in display work, thanks! We did a little "trading" at the show, I also sent her a copy of this shot for her to use on her website if she wishes.
Alice has another with a frog on it on the way.

I can see why you love this I like this sort of thing too It sort of reminds me of some Navajo pottery I've seen in northern Arizona.

my secret thing is Frankoma pottery, but only a particular color and style

This girl does some really cool stuff. I like mix of matte finish then the gloss glazing that she uses.

They don't have them in Australia?
Thanks so much! This is actually a bit easier to shoot than the normal stuff that I shoot.
So glad you like it, Pauline!

Yes there are some craft fairs, but it's more organised > less fun and fewer interesting people! Also there are a lot more regular markets in various suburban centres. Not quite the same.
And, hehe, this target stayed still for you to photograph!

I think Alice shared with you what I do for a living... they don't move on their own either. but they are harder to shoot. Those don't get play here on DA.

What do you mean by they are more organized? Are they not organized in NZ?
Here, various groups like "The Womens League" or a local art and craft council have Art & Craft Shows. There are "Fine Art & Fine Craft" shows as well. but they are all organized by some type of promotor or another.

Lol, no she didn't say - the suspense is killing me -(just teasing) though I've read a fair bit between the lines. I know and understand that you like to keep your dA life separate - that's ok!
Hmm, in NZ there are only 2 major shows/promotors and they're still small enough to be friendly, with interesting people and crafters. Otherwise it's local stuff. Here in Sydney though it seems to be very commercialised and soulless, and way too many chinese souvenirs for my taste. Obviously I prefer the personal touch and individuality! (I'm a real sucker for hand blown glass, and the kind of ornament/pottery in your photo, etc)

I think I want this for the little bistro table we put out on the porch in summer. Be nice to have about a half dozen when I get the cover built over the back porch.
