Observant/Observer - eccentric views/thinks outside the box - Gentleman manners - People pleaser - Judger - Forgetful on small details that's very obvious stoner - Intelligent in a way - Responsible in choices and considers the consequences which causes him to be easily stress

Tooru has two sides of him like an off and on switch, on days where he feels chipper he will be more patient with people, more sociable and help them out if asked or required to keep his good image up in order to gain favours acting as a gentleman. However if he was to be sleep deprived he would be a whole new person. Tooru works best when he’s in a bad mood, he prefers solitude and thinks rather logical than his blissful mood where he would think… rather peculiar than others and ask dumb questions that sometimes are useful, the legends say that people who get the right answer will actually start to think that the answer they got right was wrong because of Tooru's questionings.
Tooru is rather an intelligent being if he put a bit more dedication to his work, he would forget small details especially when his mood is content. It’s a shame that most of this intelligence is used for his observation journals and writing his plot for eroge.
Lastly he loves to observe others; collecting information, this is where he would judge people so hard and try to avoid them at all cost , in some cases he would want something he would use it against people and that is the only time he'll come to them, ever. Tooru would try to avoid unnecessary problems/bothersome things that'll stress him out, because the last thing he would want is a head that can blind people. Only close ones, people he despise or was threaten experienced his off mode.
He thinks of all consequences and possible outcomes of relationships/events, this is a reason why Tooru doesn't have any close friends and ojii-san coloured hair.

[History]

As a child Tooru lived a content life being raised in a neighbour hood in Seiki with slightly higher class than average, Tooru in this age period looked up to his dad who writes fluff romantic stories and often reads it to Tooru which started Tooru's inspiration to write stories just like his dad.

In his fresh men years, Tooru was the same as ever, Ash brown hair and not afraid of socialising befriending everyone he sees which made him quite popular. Until one day one of his writing books was gotten a hold of. He was confronted by the classmates who had his book, laughing at what he wrote. Then suddenly a ball came smashing through the window glass , surprised the classmates ran dashing away dropping the crumpled book in front of Tooru and when Tooru went to look at the direction of window to see anyone, he saw...something vibrant red against the grey sky. An Elmo puppet was held right on top of the window frame.

"Looks like they're gone now" the Elmo puppet cheered as he was frantically parading.
"E-elmo...?" Tooru stuttered in disbelief, his mind couldn't processes the rush of events that were happening before him
"But I guess I understand why they were attacking you" Elmo laughed in his usual high pitch "wasting such talent for such a cheesy story that couldn't be enjoyed by everyone.."
"Then what should I write about...?" Tooru muttered in disappointment from his saviour.
"Ero." The Elmo doll stated simply and "walked" out of the view.

This is a point in his life where normal people find strange, he would find normal, Tooru began to forget about things easily remembering that incident finally realizing why he didn't go up to see who was this Elmo, his distrust towards humans grew but interest in their behaviour/life growing keeping it recorded in a book. His character changed after that incident but felt it was necessary to mask his true self as person with a class president-like vibe in order to blend in with others and cautious towards them, This caused the spontaneous appearance of his ojii-san coloured hair with the rush of stress.

After this event Tooru went home searching up this ero thing, reading and researching anything and everything about ero he came to like eroge and begun his freelancing job with writing plot stories for eroge, each eroge he has ever made always thanked Elmo in the credits.

Now in his 2nd year Tooru still wonders who was the Elmo, Thinking that by staying in the school which where the event has occurred in, helping people in dire need and solving mystery that occurs in Seiki, that one day he would meet the puppeteer by coincidence who helped him.
