About ten years ago, I was writing a story about a vampire named Venus. I wrote it before Twilight came out a book. Eek! Time flies. When writing, I drew her a lot. But when the story finished (I even tried to get it published to no avail) but vampires just soared in popularity in YA fiction, so at some point I just got sick of the whole thing.

Now I'm older and wiser, the story has potential but I just don't have the time/desire to revamp it (revamp...get it?) But still I haven't drawn her in almost 4 years now, so I did a pretty quick/graphic look just for old time's sake. I had a habit drawing her out under moonlight, because that's where vampires belong.

Sometimes we have beloved characters we put to the side for new ones, but they are always there for us so sometimes you have to revisit them. And I liked how this turned out for a quick exercise between other things.
