Description This is a bit older. I just left it sitting around until I finished the background. The male character is Paul (one of the first final drawings of him), the female is a raccoon character named Clementine

I used some stock here, partially. Like, the curtains are painted but also partially stock. The floor and window are partially stock.

Hah! This brings good memories xD

My and my friend always wanted to dress up in the classic Swing clothes! Never got to though...

Have you swung-dance? We learned eastern style (The Jitterbug)

Haha, it's a fun time ^-^

And as for the piece, your value range is ridiculous! Very dark, with such vivid colors!

The characters are so lively! This one might by my favorite of yours...

This one does have really dramatic range. It's still one that I enjoy even though I did it a while ago.

I've never done swing dancing, it looks fun though.

Awww!

I love the way she's wearing eye-shadow -- yet isn't. Very cute.

Thanks! The eye shadow thing was intentional, like she's a raccoon, but her "mask" is like eyeshadow.

Nice pose there, mind if I ask what tool you used for the lights?

Tsuchan In reply to Foxshu [2009-03-19 05:34:24 +0000 UTC]

The yellow spotlight was made by using the selection tool with the "feather" option set to 30 pixels or so (I don't remember the exact number). I then put a yellow gradient over it with low opacity. It gave it the slight fuzzy look.

Yet another masterpiece, I think, this piece is incredibly and rather inspiring; be it not for this psychology assignment, I would break out photoshop and begin work on my own piece ^^

That dress, in particular, is something amazing. Near-perfect lighting, as usual, as well as those paws. The only thing I spot is yonder raccoon's shoulder; it seems a little off, or small. Excellent color choices and creative lighting. The blue really does the green good, whereas the yellow from above gives the browns an accented tint.

I might just have to fave this.

I think the dress is probably the best part. It has a lot of depth to it, I think due to the amount of work that went into it.
The arm probably does appear a bit small. I think it's because the fur on the elbow is thicker which makes it look like her arm should be wider.

bobman323 In reply to Tsuchan [2009-03-19 13:59:22 +0000 UTC]

Ah, yes, that would be it.
The dress surely looks like it had an immense amount of time and work poured into it.
