Housework (cooking, cleaning, etc.)
Taking care of others (checking if everyone is well fed/well dressed/ feeling well etc.)
Pain (absolutely masochistic)
Feminine girls (heels, dresses, politely speaking, graceful gestures etc.)

Dislikes:
Others doing his work (feels unneeded if others take away his work)
Making others uncomfortable (like by rotting randomly and falling apart)
Noises and music in general (prefers natural sounds like wind in forest, raindrops on window glass, food boiling - not to mention he's tone deaf)
Sun (generally can't move in sunlight, it burns his skin and he starts to turn into ashes)

Strengths: Immune to poison, frost can't harm him, Great endurance, regenerates to original form no matter the amount of damage.
Weaknesses: Sunlight, separation from his necromancer, fire. Killing his necromancer would result in him disappearing as well.

Masochistic
Overprotective
Passively-agressive
Practical
Caring
Polite

Background:

In short: Couldn't accept his mothers death and tried to revive her, dying in the process. Got revived by a dying necromancer and had to raise the necromancers kid.

Originally was born as a son to a lone parent lady necromancer. Was a mama's boy and did all the housework to help his mother the best he could. Like it always happens to those protagonists love the most, his mother died when he was eleven. After that he got taken in by his mother's sister, who refused to teach him anything, knowing the boy was obsessed with reviving his mother. After two years he ran away and begged one necromancer from a different family to take him as an apprentice.
The necromancer was a lone father with a three year old daughter. Strangely enough, he took Leif as an apprentice and thought him all he knew in the next four years. Step by step Leif overtook all the housework in his masters house, growing muscular from all the labor. Unknown to Leif, the necromancer was terminally ill and needed someone to teach his craft to his daughter.
Leif tried to revive his mother, but apparently his mother had had a contract with a daemon - great strength in exchange for soul - and when Leif tried to snatch her soul back, the daemon got angry and killed him. Leif was pretty happy about dying by bleeding to death. The necromancer, seeing Leif dead, revived him using his daughters blood to form a contract, but died then, reaching the end of his life.
When Leif woke up, he found the necromancer dead and himself now an undead, he wasn't happy about the fact. One way or another, he thought it must be his fault his master is now dead and while feeling guilty every day raised his masters daughter, while teaching her all his master had thought him, in theory. Being an undead, he could not revive anyone anymore, so he gave up on reviving his mother.
Being revived with the daughters blood, he can only properly move and function when close to her - five meters around her he's warm and heart is beating and overall is indistinguishable from a human, 50 meters away he seems like a freshly dead person - cold and pale, 500 meters away he starts rotting - limbs falling off, skin peeling away. The further he is, the worse it gets till he turns into ashes - and then is rebuilt next to his necromancer.

His new goal is dying again and the only ways he can do that is - 1) by killing his contractor or 2)by having his contractor end the contract. Only the second option works well with him, so he made up a bunch of lies about how her father died hoping she would dissolve the contract, but it didn't go as planned. And thus their relationship became strained. Very soon after that both him and the daughter got transported to Crepuscule estate.

Relationships:

Birdie - the necromancers daughter. Gradually fell in love with her ever since she was 6; Has done his best so far to never let it show. Has a hobby of dressing her up and sabotages the clothes he doesn't like. Did completely all housework at her home, so... that wasn't hard at all.
Is pretty glad she hates him now and constantly kicks him in the face and cuts him, he's a maso after all. And what could make a maso more happy than being absolutely abused by the one he loves. He doesn't approve of Birdie swearing like a sailor, though and getting self dirty and refusing to wash. If he could, he would have headaches from her all the time.

Alufon - a friend he made on campus. Has gone on various adventures with Al and likes him a lot.

Yay for Revamps, old version is here.

(Sure! No problem at all. That sounds like a great idea, okay I'll start a post!)

Oh, how the time dwindled away so expeditiously when you're settling into a new place. The little necromancer was nearly tuckered out from shuffling through luggage, seeing fit to make her new shared dorm into a welcoming environment for her and Amsel. Now that the sky had turned to dusk, Elisabet advised to her skeleton friend that the two should take a break and venture to the one place they would be spending a great deal of time outside of their studies, the library. The girl gawked in awe within the doorway at the rows upon rows of books to occupy them for the years to come. Truly a safe haven and conveniently uninhabited it seemed. "Quick Amsel, let's find the section of dark arts and a corner to sit, " she whispered, though with such glee and strolled down the main aisle, taking a sharp right into a maze of bookshelves.

A tall blonde was standing by one of the shelves. He didn't breathe nor did his heart beat, he was as silent as the shelves and books in them. He heard footsteps nearby and glanced sideways spotting a girl with long hair and braids, he didn't know her so he turned back to face the shelf. He reached out his hand to one thick and dusty looking book with red covers. Oriental Necromancy was the title on its back.

She searched through the books upon the shelves with excitement equivalent to that of a child inside a candy store. "Help me look for the books on Necromancy, Amsel. You take the left side, I'll take the right," she whispered, pointing her skeletal friend towards her left, and the two trotted down the aisle. As they searched, something caught the young girl's eye. Without realizing that she had been spotted already, she thought it would be best to hesitantly linger around the corner in order to gain a better glance of the figure before approaching. After all this academy was full of unusual alumi other than necromancer and the undead. To her surprise the figure standing in the aisle was a young man, tall and ghostly pale with a solemn expression relaxed upon his handsome features. Elisabet's eyes widened with awe. With a sudden feat of confidence, the girl entered the same aisle as the boy while hugging Amsel close to her chest in order to make presence more well known. "H-Hello, " she stammered with a soft, fluttery voice; having difficulty controlling her excitement. All of her thoughts wanted to come spilling out at once. Growing up home-schooled in a lowly populated town was the cause, Eisa was so very eager to make friends. Especially dead ones. "I-I'm Elisabet...um--th-that's a nice book you're reading! Oh--w-well...that you're going to read...." Her eyes drop down to the skull clutched in her grasp and she sighed, "I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to be rude. I'll introduce you too. " for a split second her eyes returned to the young boy, "This is Amsel, he's my friend. W-we're both new here. I'm really sorry to bother you. I...couldn't help noticing that you're--I've never seen an actual body reanima--I think you're really cool!"

"Hello," Leif made a warm smile. "Pleased to meet you Elisabet and Amsel. I'm Leif." His smile grew a little bit wider hearing her last sentence. Till he died, he was a necromancer himself, so it wasn't hard to spot what exactly the girl found to be cool. It was rather amusing to see someone so open about their likes, refreshing as well. "Yes. I'm an undead. You are a necromancer, aren't you? Usually it takes some time for others to notice, if they notice at all," he said, while pulling out the book with red covers. After doing so, he glanced at the girl once more. Her hair pins blinked and attracted his attention, but he didn't ask about them.

The young necromancer was truly taken aback by the young man's kindness. Usually no one addressed her both of them as separate people, assuming the skull had no personality or voice. She smiled, "Leif," reciting his name after him so as to become better acquainted in it's pronunciation in the hopes the two would be lasting friends. "Why yes, I am! To be honest though, you're the first reanimated corpse I've ever seen. You're in such good condition and retain such fluid movement that it's astounding! Your body and soul are seemed to be harmoniously synced, " She would go on and on if she could, but spared her new acquaintance of her intense excitement so as not to overwhelm him. They were also in the library."You must have a wonderful necromancer. I hope by attending school here I will someday be skilled enough to do more advance necromancy like that," She glanced down warmly at her silent friend, "The Captain really needs a proper body...it's a working progress, " She turned back to Leif with a bright smile, "Am I right to assume that you're not a new student? Maybe even know your way around the library? I'm trying to find a couple of books to get me started. Haha, I never dreamed of being within a library this big...i-if you don't mind?"

tshuki In reply to NOIRECITY [2014-09-24 12:16:43 +0000 UTC]

"The one who revived me was very skilled," he nodded. "It's a special type of necromancy that revives corpses as servants; due to that they don't rot and feed of their master's energy to keep their shape life-like, yet are made to forever serve their master. He made me a servant to his daughter though - I'm sure you'll meet her on the campus eventually." Leif didn't mind sharing some information concerning necromancy, especially when it came to other necromancers. At least they were prone to understand what he was talking about, without disproving comments. "What type of necromancy was used on Amsel?" Leif looked at the skull in her hands. He was curious. He himself knew only of two types of necromancy, he was eager to find out more. "I'm fairly new - I arrived just a week before, there was a festival going on, but no classes have happened yet. I think I do know the way around the library, though - what sort of literature are you interested in?"
