I learned a few things on painting/coloring from watching the backseat drawing episodes. I recently watched Pidgey, Beedrill, and Kakuna. I know, I didn't get very far into the episodes and not even in order. . w.
I can't say I will be able to put what I learned into the play but, at least I learned how you made something the way it looks. Like color shading by using values instead of going down in shades and how to make amazing looking water or ocean in what seemed like seconds.
Inspiring indeed.

Yeah. I like 99.5% of all Kanto poke'mon surprisingly despite it having such a nostalgia gravity pull on my soul to it.

This is a really cool picture of beedrill. Nice textures. IMO bees are adorable. They are the cutest insects. I am planning on doing a bee or wasp creature. That would be fun.
