Description
The morning sun lazily drifted into the sky. As the rays started warming the world beneath them Enya slowly came to. Her tired mind clung to sleep and she snuggled her face further into the soft fur beneath her. She would have happily stayed like that had the memory of a certain unattended egg not come to mind. Slowly, but surely she managed to convince her eyes to open, her vision greeted by the dark grey fur of her prince. What a night that had been, he was so wild and fierce, she felt his kingdom must have been war torn, he’d probably spent his whole life fighting, only to steal a few moments away on distant shores from time to time. “You poor thing,” she whispered, gently petting the large male, enjoying the soft fur beneath her paws.
With a large yawn, Enya stretched out her still tired body before slowly getting to her feet. She gave her dance partner one last glance, hopefully, she’d get to meet the male again someday, though, sadly, they’d be unable to safely lock then without the fear of an egg. As she made her way back to the shore she grabbed a few berries for the swim back to the ship.

It was hot, way too hot. Dovev growled and opened his eyes to a blurry world. Why was he lying in the sun? Sleepily the dark quad stood up, shaking himself off and slinking into the shade where he allowed himself to slowly come to. The shiny wyngro from the night before suddenly dancing into his mind. The sleep was gone in an instant as Dovev jumped to his feet, where was she? He spent a long time searching the nearby forest for his mate, hoping nothing had happened to her, but he was unable to find her anywhere. Dovev’s head hung low as he went back to where they had slept. She had wanted to be his mate, he was supposed to protect her and the wyngling she had wanted to make and now he couldn’t even find her.
Back at the clearing, the former fox had another look around, a sudden sparkle catching his eyes as he did. A single scale lay on the dirt next to a paw print. Perhaps she was near the water, she did seem to be part fish, maybe she needed water! With urgency Dovev followed the prints to the shore when he did not see his shiny wyngro he dove in, swimming around and looking for any trace of her, but there was nothing…
After a few hours, Dovev went home to his little Rook, who had happily been visiting with Dovev’s mother. He spent the next few days near the shore in hopes his mate would return, but she never did
