Description
"They rush in red and purple from the red clouds of the morn,From the temples where the yellow gods shut up their eyes in scorn;
They rise in green robes roaring from the green hells of the sea
Where fallen skies and evil hues and eyeless creatures be,
On them the sea-valves cluster and the grey sea-forests curl,
Splashed with a splendid sickness, the sickness of the pearl;

This is a very creative and original piece. I really like that you can picture this creature being one from the place that is described in the poem.
The colors are very beautiful and smoothly blended. The bones with the small lights dangling off of them give a dreary feel, which I feel is very appropriate to the poem and add to the creativity of this piece.
The fact that there are these small lights in this piece really makes you think of possible meanings. It makes me wonder if it has something to do with this place being somewhere where hope hangs on a small thread controlled by death. I'm not saying this is the original intent, but I like that there is room for interpretation in this piece.
Overall very excellently done.

This is nothing short of incredible Devon!! I simply love all of the detail you have in this.The Bones,the Bones on the Birds feathers,The way the bird has begun decorating it's surroundings...Just incredible!! Not to mention the look of satisfaction and strength in the Birds face.
